Overview

AP PGLCET 2026 - Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education closed the AP PGLCET Application process 2026. The application forms were available on the website lawcet-sche.aptonline.in/LAWCET. Once the application form is released, candidates can register for the AP LAWCET 2026 Exam. The AP PGLCET exam is conducted for admission to the LLM course offered by various universities and their affiliated colleges in the state. The exam is held by the Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupati, on behalf of APSCHE.

To appear for the AP PGLAWCET, candidates need to register online. The APSCHE released the AP PGLCET 2026 notification online. Aspirants must follow the APPGLCET syllabus to prepare for the exam. What is AP PGLCET?

Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Common Law Entrance Test (AP PGLCET) is a state-level entrance exam conducted by Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) for admissions to LLM course. On the basis of AP PGLCET scores, candidates are offered admission to various universities and their affiliated colleges of the state. The exam is conducted by Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupati, on behalf of APSCHE in an online mode.

The AP PGLCET 2026 application process has ended. All candidates can apply online only. The steps below explain how to complete the AP PGLCET form easily.

  1. Browse to the cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/APSCHEHome.aspx.
  2. On the homepage, tap the “LAWCET” option.
  3. Fill the AP LAWCET form and choose LLM as the exam course.
  4. After registration, a unique AP LAWCET registration number and password are created.
  5. Use those details to open and fill the AP PGLCET application form.
  6. Pay the fee online through the available payment options.
  7. Check all details carefully, make corrections if needed, then submit the form.

AP PGLCET Admission Process 2026

  • Apply for AP PGLCET 2026

You must apply online for AP PGLCET 2026 to get admission into the LLM course. Go to the official website and complete the steps — registration, fee payment, and filling your personal, academic, category, and domicile details. The whole process happens online only.

  • Download AP PGLCET Admit Card 2026

After applying, you can download your AP PGLCET 2026 admit card from the official site. The hall ticket will show your exam date, time, and other details. Use the link on the website to get it.

  • Appear for AP PGLCET Exam

You must attend the AP PGLCET 2026 exam at the centre given to you. The test will likely take place in the third or fourth week of May 2026. It will be held in computer-based mode.

  • AP PGLCET 2026 Results and Merit List

The exam results will come out on the official website around the third week of June 2026. The AP PGLCET merit list 2026 will also be released on the same day, showing marks and ranks of qualified candidates by category. This list will be used for seat allotment.

  • AP PGLCET 2026 Counselling

Candidates whose names appear in the merit list must join the AP PGLCET counselling 2026. You need to register for web counselling, choose your preferred colleges, and then report to the allotted law college for document check and admission confirmation.

AP PGLCET 2026 Eligibility

The Andhra Pradesh Council of Higher Education has mentioned the following AP PGLCET eligibility criteria for admission to the LLM course. Candidates will need to fulfil the AP PGLCET 2026 eligibility criteria as under-

  • Candidate should have passed or appeared in the final year of their bachelor's degree in law i.e., Five-year LLB degree or a three-year LLB degree from any recognised university. 
  • They should have secured at least 50% marks if belonging to the General/ OBC category and 45% marks if belonging to the SC/ ST category.
  • There is no upper age or lower age limit for this course.
  • The candidates who are appearing or are awaiting results of their bachelor's degree can apply for AP PGLCET, but they have to submit the proof of qualification at the time of final admission.

Candidates preparing for AP PGLCET 2026 need to know the AP PGLCET syllabus. The AP PGLCET 2026 syllabus will be released by Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupati, on behalf of APSCHE. The syllabus includes the following subjects:

Jurisprudence Schools of Jurisprudence - Sources of Law, Custom, Precedent and Legislation, Rights and Duties - Ownership and Possession, Persons, Obligation, Property, Liability, Legal Sanctions.
Constitutional Law Nature of the constitution: Fundamental Rights, Directive Principles of State Policy, Executive Judiciary, and Legislature, Center-State Relations, Emergency provisions, and Amendments to the Constitution.
Public International Law International Law and Municipal Law, Subjects, State Territory, Air, Sea and outer space, Nationality and Statelessness, Extradition, Asylum, State Jurisdiction, United Nations.
Mercantile Law General Principles of Contract (Sections 1-75, Indian Contract Act-1872).
Labour Law Trade Union Act 1926. Industrial Disputes Act 1947.
Crimes and Torts

Indian Penal Code -General Principles & General Exceptions.

TORTS: General principles of Tort, Defences, Joint liability, State liability for torts; Consumer Protection Act, 1986.

IPR & Other Laws Copyright Act, 1957; Patents Act, 1970; Environmental Protection Act, 1986; Human Rights, The Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993; Salient features of Information Technology Act, 2000, and Right to Information Act, 2005.

  • Visit the APSCHE's CETS website, cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/APSCHEHome.aspx. 
  • Click on "LAWCET" on the website's homepage. 
  • Now, click on "Download Hall Ticket". 
  • Enter your Registration Number or Payment Reference ID, Qualifying Examination Hall Ticket No. and Date of Birth to download the AP PGLCET hall ticket. 

Candidates must adhere to the AP PGLCET Exam Day Guidelines and Dress Code to avoid prohibition to enter the exam hall along with the last-minute rush.
