IGNOU MBA Admission 2025: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has officially launched its Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs in Hindi and Odia, with extensive study resources now available in both languages. This initiative is intended to make management education more accessible to students who prefer to learn in their home language. After successfully launching the MBA programs in Hindi and Odia, IGNOU now plans to extend its MBA offerings to ten additional Indian languages, reinforcing its mission to make professional education inclusive and regionally relevant.
AICTE and EKumbh Project Collaboration to Promote Multilingual Education
A broader collaboration between IGNOU and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) under the national EKumbh project has resulted in this initiative. The project is launched with a goal to translate core academic content into twelve Indian languages, thereby breaking linguistic barriers in higher education.
With an aim to provide quality education tailored to regional language learners, IGNOU has introduced it MBA programme in the local language using AICTE’s cutting-edge machine translation tool, “Anuvadini”.

The official launch was held on June 2, 2025, emphasizing IGNOU's commitment to provide accessible and inclusive higher education throughout India's diverse linguistic terrain.

Mrutyunjay Behera, Joint Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, who was the Chief Guest at the launch, called the move a “milestone in educational equity.” He emphasized, “By offering MBA programs in regional languages, IGNOU is bringing professional education closer to the grassroots, fully aligning with NEP 2020’s focus on multilingual and inclusive education.”
One of the leading universities in India, IGNOU offers over 200 UG, PG, diploma, certificate and doctoral courses via open and distance learning (ODL) mode. Candidates interested in IGNOU admission can apply through the online admission portal for ODL programmes, i.e. ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. In addition, the university launched an Online Education portal under its umbrella and now, it offers more than 40 UG, PG, Diploma and Certificate courses via the same.
