NEET SS Counselling 2024: Round 1 Reporting Deadline Further Extended to May 30
MCC NEET SS round 1 reporting deadline 2024 has been further extended to May 30, 2025, for all candidates who have been named in the seat allotment results. Candidates reporting after the deadline will be disqualified from the admission process.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has further extended the NEET SS 2024 round 1 reporting last date to May 30, 2025. Students who have qualified the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Super Speciality (NEET SS) for the academic year 2024 and have been named in the seat allotment results can complete the admission formalities by May 30, 2025. However, qualified students are suggested not to wait the reporting deadline and complete the formalities at the earliest possible.
Reportedly, MCC received multiple requests from the Tamil Nadu and other state candidates who were unable to join the allotted seats as original documents were held by respective institutions due to the applicable bond policy. Owing to the multiple requests, the last date for round 1 reporting has been extended till May 30.
NEET SS 2024: Round 2 Counselling from June 2
The NEET SS 2024 round 2 counselling process will begin from June 2, 2025. A fresh registration will be conducted for round 2 candidates who have not registered for the round 1 admission process. However, those candidates who have not reported in the round 1 admission process will also be eligible. However, they have to register again with full payment of fees.
The round 2 counselling registration for NEET SS will be conducted till June 8, 2025. Further, the round 2 choice filling and locking will be conducted between June 3 to 8, 2025 for all eligible candidates.

There are approximately three to four rounds of counselling for the NEET SS exam. Last year, there were originally two rounds of NEET SS counselling and later, an additional round was announced since the NEET SS cutoff was revised. This year also, it can be expected that there will be three rounds of NEET SS counselling. Followed by this, there will be additional rounds, in case there is a change in the cutoff or seat matrix, the number of NEET SS counselling rounds will increase.
The NEET SS counselling is conducted approximately one month after the declaration of the result. As per the dates announced by MCC, the NEET SS 2024 counselling process was originally scheduled from May 13, 2025, to July 7, 2025. However, after the first two rounds, the third round was postponed. MCC released the dates for NEET SS 2024 counselling stray round or Round 3 on July 21, 2025. The counselling process was conducted from July 24 to August 5, 2025.
