CTET Apply Online 2026: How to Apply, Fee & Correction Window

The Central Board of Secondary education conducts the CTET exam two times a year. The application online link for the CTET December session will be activated at ctet.nic.in. It is important for the candidates to go through the eligibility criteria once before filling out the online form. Candidates need to register for the CTET exam using the detailed process as shared below-

Register for CTET 2026 Exam

• To register, candidates need to visit ctet.nic.in and click on the link available for the application form.
• Click on the Apply button under the New Candidate Registration.
• Read and download the information brochure carefully.
• Click on Proceed button.
• CTET registration form will open.
• Fill in the details shared below.

Once all the information is filled in, verify and click on the checkboxes at the end of the page and submit. Note down the system-generated CTET application number and retain it for future use.

Fill CTET Online Form 2026

• Click on the Complete Application Form button.
• Fill in all the remaining details in the online form.
• Enter these details.

Once all details are filled in, enter the security pin displayed on the screen and click on the Submit. Verify all details entered carefully and click on the checkboxes at the end of the page and submit.

Upload Documents

Upload the scanned images of the photograph and signature in JPG format.

• Pay the CTET application fee

• Now, submit the form and save the CTET confirmation page.

The application process for the CBSE CTET exam begins with registration. One must go through the CTET Eligibility Criteria 2026 before filling out the form. Have a look at the important points regarding the registration:

• Enter the correct mobile number and email ID, as all the communication regarding the exam is done through mobile and email only.
• No correction is accepted through fax, application or email.

The CBSE provides a one-time facility for candidates to make corrections to the already submitted CTET Application. The CTET form correction window will be available online. Candidates who will already submit their applications can undertake the CTET application form correction facility to make changes to the form.

How to Make CTET Application Form Correction?

Candidates can make corrections to their already submitted application form using the process shared below-

• Visit ctet.nic.in.
• Click on the link available for the CTET application form correction.
• Enter the application number, password and security pin (as shown in the image).
• Click on the Sign In button.
• Click on the application form correction button.
• Read the instructions on the page and click on the checkbox at the bottom of the page.
• Click on the Proceed for Correction button.
• Make the required changes in the application form.
• Enter the security pin and click on Submit.
• Review the application form.
• Click on the checkboxes at the bottom of the page.
• Click on the Final Submit button.

CTET Application Form Correction: Important Points to Note

Some of the important points that candidates should keep in mind regarding CTET 2026 application correction are given below.

• CTET application correction is a one-time facility. Therefore, candidates are advised to check all details in the CTET online form carefully.
• The application correction is allowed for only those candidates who have completed all the steps of the CTET registration process and paid the application fee.
• Candidates can make corrections in all the particulars of the application form except images
• After making the necessary correction, candidates should take a printout of the revised CTET confirmation page

After the successful payment of the CTET application fee, a confirmation page is generated automatically. The CTET confirmation page works as proof of payment of the application fee. Therefore, candidates need to retain the confirmation page for their records and future reference. However, in case the confirmation page does not generate after the payment of the application fee, the candidate must contact the Deputy Secretary of the Exam.
