Overview

CTET Application Form 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the CTET 2026 application form for the December session in September 2026. Along with the notification, the application form link will also be activated on the official portal at ctet.nic.in. The CTET 21st edition or February session application dates were November 21 to December 18. The authority will also open the application correction window for a limited period of time.  

It is advised to the candidates to read carefully the eligibility before applying for the exam. How to fill CTET Application Form 2026?

The Central Board of Secondary education conducts the CTET exam two times a year. The application online link for the CTET December session will be activated at ctet.nic.in. It is important for the candidates to go through the eligibility criteria once before filling out the online form. Candidates need to register for the CTET exam using the detailed process as shared below-

  • Click on the Apply button under the New Candidate Registration.
  • Read and download the information brochure carefully.
  • Click on Proceed button.

The CBSE provides a one-time facility for candidates to make corrections to the already submitted CTET Application. The CTET form correction window will be available online. Candidates who will already submit their applications can undertake the CTET application form correction facility to make changes to the form.

How to Make CTET Application Form Correction?

Candidates can make corrections to their already submitted application form using the process shared below-

  • Visit ctet.nic.in.
  • Click on the link available for the CTET application form correction.
  • Enter the application number, password and security pin (as shown in the image).
  • Click on the Sign In button.
  • Click on the application form correction button.
  • Read the instructions on the page and click on the checkbox at the bottom of the page.
  • Click on the Proceed for Correction button.
  • Make the required changes in the application form.
  • Enter the security pin and click on Submit.
  • Review the application form.
  • Click on the checkboxes at the bottom of the page.

What to do if CTET Confirmation Page does not generate?

After the successful payment of the CTET application fee, a confirmation page is generated automatically. The CTET confirmation page works as proof of payment of the application fee. Therefore, candidates need to retain the confirmation page for their records and future reference. However, in case the confirmation page does not generate after the payment of the application fee, the candidate must contact the Deputy Secretary of the Exam.

Candidates can contact the CTET Deputy Secretary, CBSE, between 10:00 AM-5:00 PM along with proof of payment of the fee. Candidates paying the fee through e-challan can show a copy of the same. Candidates can contact the CTET Deputy Secretary at the address shared below.

According to the NCTE notification, candidates require 60% or more to pass the CTET examination. The minimum marks required by a candidate being a General category to qualify the CTET exam is 90 out of 150 and for SC, ST, OBC and PwD is 82 out of 150.
