CTET Cut-off 2024 FAQs

Have a look at the CTET cut off 2024 FAQs below:

Q:   What details are required to check the CTET cutoff?

A:
The CTET cutoff is not released by the CBSE as the CTET is merely a qualifying exam. Candidates need to obtain the minimum qualifying marks to clear the CTET exam. Candidates' qualification status can be known through their results. To check the result, candidates need to enter their roll number on the official website of the exam.

Q:   Is there any negative marking in the CTET 2024 exam?

A:

No, there is no negative marking in the CTET 2024 examination. Candidates are awarded one mark for every correct answer in the exam and there is no deduction for wrong answers or unattempted questions. The reason behind the 'no negative marking' policy is that the CTET is an eligibility exam and not a recruitment exam. The CTET exam is conducted in two levels- Paper 1 is for candidates interested in teaching classes 1 to 5, and Paper 2 is for candidates interested in teaching classes 6 to 8. Both the papers consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) wherein each question carries one mark. There is no negative marking in the exam, which implies that candidates are not penalized for choosing the wrong option as their answer. It is advisable that candidates should focus on attempting as many questions as they can in the CTET exam to achieve a high score. It is important that candidates must avoid guessing and attempt questions with high accuracy.
