CTET Cut Off 2026 Released: OBC, SC, ST Qualifying/Passing Marks

The CTET passing marks for the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) categories is 55 per cent. The SSC & ST categories candidates need to obtain 82 out of the total 150 marks to qualify the exam and obtain the eligibility Certificate.

The CTET qualifying marks for the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category is 55 per cent. OBC candidates need to obtain 82 marks out of the total 150 marks to qualify the exam. A 81 mark scorer OBC candidate will fail to clear the exam.

Candidates who obtain the minimum qualifying marks are considered CTET pass. Those who get over and above the set marks are considered good scorers. Hence, scoring 120 marks in the CTET exam is good.

General category candidates need to obtain 90 out of 150 marks to pass the CTET exam. The CTET qualifying percentage is 60 per cent for the General category. To clear the CTET exam, candidates in General Category required to score at least 60% that is 90 out of 150 marks and candidates belonging to the SC, ST, OBC, or PwD categories required to score at least 55% marks that is 82 out of 150. It is to be noted that this criteria applies to both Paper 1 and 2.

150 is the maximum CTET score. There are 150 total marks in the CTET 2024 exam. As there is no negative marking, obtaining all 150 marks is regarded as the exam's the highest result. However, a candidate from the General category must receive at least 60% of the possible points in order to be eligible for the CTET exam. To pass the exam, applicants from reserved categories, such as SC, ST, and OBC, must receive a grade of at least 55%.

As per the CTET exam process, there is no rank criteria in the examination. Candidates only need to obtain the minimum qualifying marks to clear the exam and get the eligibility certificate.
