IBPS Exam 2025: RRB, PO, Clerk & SO Revised Exam Dates, Notification, Online Form & Syllabus

IBPS Clerk cannot be internally recruited as a Probationary Officer since POs are directly recruited. However, clerks can shift to the officer cadre as TOs (Trainee Officers) or JMGS-1 (Junior Management Grade Officer Scale -1). Candidates are directly recruited as Clerks and Officers, after their respective exams and interviews.

IBPS Clerk exam is conducted for recruitment to the post of Clerks in the 11 participating banks. This is one of most sought-after banking exams in the country.

IBPS Clerk admit card is released online separately for prelims and Mains exams. Candidates can download their admit cards by logging with registration number or roll number and date of birth or password. The admit card should be carried with one photo-identity proof to the exam centre.

Therefore, candidates are advised to keep patience and try to download their admit cards within a certain interval of time. Candidates need to download their admit cards online. IBPS Clerk prelims syllabus comprises topics from Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language. IBPS Clerk syllabus of Mains exam is divided into four sections: Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, and General/ Financial Awareness. English Language: Reading Comprehension, Error Detection/ Sentence Correction, Fill in the Blanks, Error Correction, Para Jumbles, Cloze Test.

Reasoning: Inequality, Seating Arrangement, Alphanumeric Series, Miscellaneous, Syllogism, Coding-Decoding, Data Sufficiency,  

Numerical Ability: Number Series, Simplification/ Approximation, Data Sufficiency, Average, Ratio and Proportion, Time and Distance, Relations and Permutation and Combination, Data Interpretation, Puzzles.

General Awareness: Current Affairs,  Monetary Plans, Indian Financial System,  Introduction to National Institutions,  Indian Banking System,  Banking Terms.

Computer Aptitude: Basics of Hardware and Software, Operating Systems,  Internet and Associated Topics,  Microsoft Office and Other Word Processing Software,  History of Computing,  Basic Computer Networking,  Basics of Databases,  Basics of Cyber Security Tools and Processes.

IBPS SO Syllabus for prelims exam is given below.

IBPS RRB cut off is the minimum qualifying marks which candidates need to secure inorder to qualify the exam. IBPS RRB cut off is applied on different sections and overall/total marks. IBPS RRB cut off for the prelims exam is calculated out of 80 marks. IBPS RRB Mains cut off is calculated out of 200 marks. The provisional allotment cut off is calculated out of 100 marks. Candidates securing equal to or more than the cut off marks are declared qualified in each stage of selection process. As the exam is conducted in different shifts, the cut off is calculated after normalising the marks of candidates. Normalisation of IBPS RRB cut off is done to maintain transparency in the examination process.

IBPS Clerk cut off is calculated based on factors such as difficulty level of exam number of vacancies, number of candidates who appeared for exam. Candidates are required to secure both sectional and overall cut off marks. Corrected scores obtained by each candidate in different sessions are normalized using equi-percentile method. Scores up to two decimal points are taken for purpose of calculations.

Yes, candidates selected for the post of IBPS PO will be on probation for two years. During probation, the performance of candidates is assessed. They need to undergo training in the various branches. On successful completion of training, candidates are confirmed to the position of Probationary Officers. During the probation period, candidates are trained on various banking services. They are also required to undergo certain banking courses. The basic salary of IBPS PO is INR 48,480. Besides the salary, candidates are also entitled to various perks and benefits.

IBPS RRB 2025 application form was released on September 1, 2025. Interested candidates are required to fill the application form online till September 21, 2025. The application fee is INR 850 for General and OBC candidates and INR 175 for SC/ST/PWD categories. Candidates are not required to send the hard copy of their application forms. IBPS RRB application form is released to fill up vacancies for the posts of Officers Scale 1, 2, 3 and Office Assistant. Before filling the application form, candidates must ascertain that they fulfill the eligibility criteria laid down by the examination authority for IBPS RRB exam.

The prelims exam for IBPS Clerk (Customer Service Associates) will be conducted on December 6, 7, 13 and 14, 2025. The Mains exam for this post will be conducted on February 1, 2026.
