RBI Grade B 2025 Prelims scorecard was released. Along with the scorecard, the RBI Grade B cut off was also released.  The Phase 1 exam was conducted on October 18, 2025. Reserve Bank of India will conduct the Grade B Mains exam on December 6 and 7, 2025. RBI Grade B Notification 2025 was released on September 10, 2025, and the last date to apply was September 30.

RBI Grade B notification was released to fill up vacancies for the posts of Officers in Grade B (General), Officers in Grade B (Department of Economic and Policy Research), Officers in Grade B (Department of Statistics and Information Management. What is RBI Grade B Exam?

RBI Grade B recruitment is conducted by the Reserve Bank of India for the direct recruitment of Grade B Officers in Combined Seniority Group (CSG) streams. RBI being the central bank of the country, conducts recruitment exams every year to fill up various posts. One such exam conducted by the organisation is RBI Grade B. The RBI Grade B exam is a very popular exam for those seeking a career in the finance sector. Filling the Application Form

The RBI Grade B application form is released online on the official website. The application form comprises several stages that candidates have to complete successfully. The application form is not accepted until candidates pay the application fee, INR 850 for Gen/OBC candidates and INR 400 for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.

Release of Admit Card

The admit card for the RBI Grade B exam is released separately for different stages of the exam. The admit card for the RBI exam can be downloaded online by logging in with the registration number/roll number and password/date of birth. All registered candidates are first issued admit cards for the Phase I exam. Candidates qualifying for the Phase I exam are issued admit cards for Phase II. The admit card for the interview is issued to candidates qualifying for the Phase II exam. 

Appearing in the Exam

RBI Grade B exam comprises several stages such as Phase I, II, and Interview. Candidates need to qualify for each stage for final selection.

Declaration of Result

The result is announced online on the official website in PDF form. The scorecard is released a few days after the declaration of the result. Candidates can download the scorecard by logging in with the required credentials. Along with the scorecard, RBI Grade B cut off is also released.

Few important points related to RBI Grade B vacancies are given below:

  • Candidates belonging to the OBC category but falling under the Creamy Layer are not entitled to OBC reservation. They should indicate their category as General
  • Reservations for Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs) in recruitment are governed by Office Memorandum No.36039/1/2019-Estt. (Res) dated 31.01.2019 of Department of Personnel & Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Government of India

It is important to carry the printed copy of RBI Grade B admit card along with one photo-identity proof to the exam centre. 

RBI Grade B Exam Day Guidelines

The exam day guidelines for the RBI Grade B exam are prescribed by the examination authority:

  • RBI Grade B admit card is released online and it comprises the roll number, password, date, time, and details of the exam centres
  • Candidates must reach the exam centres one hour before the exam to complete the verification of photo-identity proof and admit card
  • Candidates must bring the admit card along with a recent passport-size photograph duly pasted on it
  • Candidates need to bring one valid photo-identity proof in original and a photocopy. The photo-identity proofs that candidates can carry are PAN Card/Passport/Permanent Driving Licence/Voter’s Card/Bank Passbook/Identity Card issued by a recognised college/university/Aadhaar Card/E-Aadhaar Card/Employee ID/Bar Council Identity Card. Ratio Card and Learner’s Driving Licenses are not accepted as valid ID proof
  • Use of calculators, books, notebooks, written notes, pagers, or any other electronic devices are not allowed during the exam

RBI Grade B exam comprises both objective and subjective type questions. The prelims exam carries objective-type questions whereas the Mains exam carries both objective-type and descriptive-type questions. The prelims exam carries questions from General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning. The Mains exam carries questions from Paper-I: Economic and Social Issues, Paper-II: English (Writing Skills) and Paper-III: Finance and Management. The standard of questions asked in RBI Grade B exam is of graduation level. The total marks allotted to the Phase 1 exam are 200. The Phase 2 exam carries 300 marks. The interview carries 75 marks. The difficulty level of the Phase 2 exam is easy to moderate. In 2022, the descriptive paper was easy while the objective paper was moderate.
