General Instructions
- One important change this year the IAS prelims admit card structure. This year the UPSC has printed the identity card number on the admit card itself and the candidates are required to carry the same Government identity card with them to the exam venue.
- The candidates should reach the UPSC exam centres ten minutes before the commencement time of the IAS prelims exam. The candidates might be asked for frisking and it requires time.
- All types of electronic or communication devices are prohibited at the exam venue. The candidates cannot carry the mobile device even in the switch-off mode. If the candidate is found with any such device, disciplinary action will be taken against him/her which could lead to a ban from future UPSC exams.
