Candidates need to upoad the following documents: 

• Recent passport-size color photo (200px x 150px, max 200kb, jpg/jpeg)
• Candidate's full signature (100px x 150px, max 200kb, jpg/jpeg)

Students need to fill in their email ID, mobile number, OTP, and the Captcha to log in and access the OUAT 2025 application.

Candidates must visit the official website of OUAT, i.e. www.ouat.ac.in and click on the “Admission” and then on the “Student Login” option under UG Admission 2025, to fill out Form-A for OUAT 2025 Exam.

Both pass-out students and students who are continuing 2nd-year Diploma from OUAT Agro-Polytechnic courses are qualified to apply online for undergraduate admission.

If two or more students achieve the same scores in OUAT 2025, their ranks will be decided on the following points:

• Higher Entrance Exam marks
• Higher marks in the Diploma in Agro-Polytechnic
• Higher marks in class 12 Science (or equivalent)
• Higher marks in class 10th/HSC
• If still tied, older age gets the higher rank.

The OUAT 2025 exam will be held in the English language.

The OUAT 2025 Entrance Exam will be held on July 7, 2025, for Agro-Polytechnic students. The exam duration will be 2 hours with 200 marks in MCQ format, based on the Agro-Polytechnic syllabus.

There are 60 seats available for NRI/PIO students and 20 for Agro-Polytechnic pass-outs; a total of 80 seats under special quotas.

Candidates must check out the OUAT 2025 admission brochure for detailed eligibility, fee structure, and OUAT 2025 admission procedure for NRI/PIO sponsored seats.

These seats are not reserved for general category candidates, and they need to meet the specific criteria (NRI/PIO sponsorship or OUAT Agro-Polytechnic diploma).

The NRI/PIO sponsored and Agro-Polytechnic pass-out seats, both these categories are offered on a cost-sharing basis in OUAT 2025 admissions.

The merit list is calculated as per the following points:

• Class 10th/HSC: 10 per cent
• Class 12th Science: 10 per cent
• Diploma in Agro-Polytechnic: 30 per cent
• OUAT Entrance Exam: 50 per cent

No,  it is strictly reserved for Agro-Polytechnic pass-outs from OUAT, and class 12 Science students are not eligible under this quota.

10 per cent of seats are reserved under the Agro-Polytechnic quota on a cost-sharing basis in respective UG streams.

Only those students are eligible who have completed a Diploma in Agro-Polytechnic Course from OUAT. This reservation does not apply to Class 12 Science students.

Admissions are made on a cost-sharing basis under a reserved category. Candidates can also check out clause 3.18 of the official OUAT prospectus for more information.

A total of 60 seats are reserved for NRI/PIO-sponsored candidates in OUAT 2025 UG programs under the cost-sharing basis.

Under this specific category, a separate merit list is prepared based on the weighted scores.

Candidates need to submit an OUAT Registrar-issued original certificate in Annexure-IV format during the OUAT 2025 counselling and admission process.

There are a total of 2 per cent seats (minimum one seat per college) reserved for children of working OUAT employees under the cost-sharing mode.

No, once the sponsored candidates get admission to OUAT, they are not allowed to request any change in college or course.

Yes, there is one seat is reserved for non-migrant Kashmiri Pandits or Kashmiri Hindus living in the Kashmir Valley in each course at the College of Agriculture, Bhubaneswar.

All the candidates who are Kashmiri Migrants need to submit both Form-A and Form-B online by visiting the official website of OUAT, else they will not be allowed for OUAT 2025 Admission. 

Candidates are exempt from the OUAT entrance exam because their admission is based on the marks obtained in their classes 10 and 12 with Science stream with 50-50 weightage.

Those candidates who are the children of Kashmiri Migrants are eligible to apply for one reserved seat per course (only at the College of Agriculture, Bhubaneswar). Also, these candidates need to provide a certificate from the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, Jammu.

The admission for government-sponsored students will be conducted on August 14, 2025.

The deadline to send nominations to the Registrar, OUAT, is August 4, 2025.

No, there is no need for them to appear for the OUAT 2025 Exam. These candidates can get direct admission based on nomination by their department.

Yes, there are a total of 6 seats reserved for Govt.-sponsored VAW/LVAW/Gardener/Fishery (JFTA) staff for BSc (Hons) Agriculture, 2 for Horticulture, and 2 for BFSc.

All the Kashmiri Pandit (Non-Migrant)/Kashmiri Hindu candidates must have a domicile certificate from a competent authority at the time of OUAT counselling and admission process.

No PMSSS candidates are required  to submit a separate application to OUAT if they come under the PMSSS quota. Their OUAT admission process is managed entirely through AICTE.

The J&K and Ladakh students admission is managed by AICTE based on their Class 12 merit list. The OUAT will offer admission to these candidates based on the seat allotment letter issued by AICTE, However, it is important that these students meet the OUAT eligibility criteria and provide a valid domicile certificate.

There are a total of 10 supernumerary seats are reserved, two in the College of Agriculture, Bhubaneswar, and one in each of the other colleges offering UG programs. These seats are available under the Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS).

No, foreign candidates for OUAT admission will be based on eligibility and document verification, and they do not need to appear for the OUAT 2025 UG Entrance Exam. 

Yes, they can apply directly to OUAT, even if the foreign students are not sponsored by ICAR/ICCR. However, they still need to fulfill the OUAT eligibility criteria and submit all required documents. But, priority will be given to fellowship holders.

Yes, a total of 3 per cent seats are reserved for foreign candidates which is sponsored by ICAR, ICCR, or other fellowships. These fellowships are supported by any statutory body of the Government of India through the Indian Embassy. These foreign candidates must fulfil the OUAT Eligibility Criteria and conditions and they should also have valid documents, and need to pay the same fees as general Indian students.

Candidates who belong to Western Odisha and are applying for BSc (Hons.) Horticulture should know that there are a total of 15 seats (8 general + 7 cost-sharing) reserved under this category. But candidates need to submit a permanent residential certificate issued by a Tahasildar (or higher) from specific districts like Sambalpur, Bargarh, Bolangir, and more, during counselling. Without providing the certificate, they will not be considered under this reservation.

There are a total of 3 per cent of seats reserved by OUAT for wards of serving or retired Armed Forces Personnel (AFP). Those candidates who are applying under the AFP quota must provide the original Bonafide Certificate from the Rajya Sainik Board, Odisha, during the OUAT 2025 Counselling. If a candidate fails to submit this certificate, they can not claim the AFP reserved seat.

If a PwD candidate decides to use a scribe for the OUAT 2025 exam, they need to inform the university at least 20 days before the exam day. Also, they need to submit a medical certificate confirming their physical limitation, and an undertaking too. If the deadline is not met, the use of scribe will be denied. 

For candidates who belong to the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category, 5 per cent of seats are reserved. Candidates must provide an original PwD certificate from a relevant authority stating at least 40 per cent disability. In case of temporary disability, the certificate must cite the inspection timeline and a new certificate must be given after that period for continued eligibility. 

The 5 per cent of seats issued by the Family Welfare Department, Govt. of Odisha, are reserved for children of Green Card holders (GCH). At the time of OUAT 2025 counselling, candidates must show their original Green Card to ensure that the details match the candidate's class 10 certificate. 

According to the Government of India directive dated February 22, 1985, if a person has migrated from another state, they are eligible for SC/ST benefits only from their state of origin, not Odisha.

As per the reservation for the SC/ST candidates, 8 per cent of OUAT seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates and 12 per cent for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates. This reservation for SC/ST students is applicable only by birth, not through marriage or adoption. Also, students need to submit an original SC/ST certificate from a Tahasildar/Addl and the Tahasildar should be from their place of birth in Odisha during the OUAT 2025 Counselling, or their seats will be forfeited.

The ICAR seats in BSc (Hons) Agriculture courses at Bhubaneswar, Chiplima, and Bhawanipatna are filled depending on the candidates' college preferences and ICAR merit. Any ICAR/VCI seats vacant after OUAT spot counselling will not be refilled. 

No, the OUAT seats reserved for SC and ST students are strictly separate and cannot be interchanged under any conditions.

In such cases, the applicants will be disqualified immediately, and legal action may also be taken.

Candidates must bring all their original documents mentioned in the OUAT prospectus. If any student does not have them, their admission will be rejected without any exceptions.

Yes, but only the university has the right to change the number of seats available for OUAT based on conditions or decisions from higher authorities.

The information filled in the OUAT 2025 Application form is the responsibility of the candidates. OUAT, the exam conducting authority, is not responsible for verifying the information filled in the candidate's application forms or for any mistakes or false information. 

Once the OUAT Application form is submitted, no candidate is allowed to make changes in Form A and Form B. So, students must double-check all their information before submitting.

To be eligible for OUAT 2025, a candidate must be 17 years old as of December 31, 2025, which means their date of birth should be on or before December 31, 2008.

Yes, based on their current residence or their native place in Odisha, candidates are eligible for OUAT 2025 Exam; however, they must submit a proof of Odisha origin certificate from the Tahasildar, Addl. Tahasildar, District Magistrate, or Employer.

If the applicant's parents are serving under the Govt. of Odisha/Central Govt./Public Undertaking/University in Odisha, but they do not have Odia as M.I.L., then they need to get a certificate from the head of the office where the parent is employed.

Applicants whose parents are permanent residents of Odisha must submit a residency certificate issued by a Tahasildar, Addl. Tahasildar, or District Magistrate.

Students who passed their HSC or equivalent exam with Odia as MIL (Mother Tongue) from any institution or school in Odisha do not need to submit a residential certificate.

To be qualified for BTech in Agricultural Engineering, candidates must have studied Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics (PCM) in their class 12 Science or equivalent subjects.

To pursue Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BVSc & AH) courses, students must have completed their class 12 Science with PCB or Biotechnology as subjects.

It is mandatory for candidates to have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) in their class 12 Science or equivalent for the Bachelor of Fisheries Science (BFSc).

If a student does not have a background in Mathematics or Biology in their class 12, they need to complete some prerequisite courses in the missing subject during their first two semesters after admission to fulfil the OUAT Eligibility criteria.

Candidates who wish to apply for BSc (Hons) in Forestry, Community Science, Agriculture, or Horticulture must have Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) as their main subjects in their class 12 Science or equivalent exams.

Agro Polytechnic diploma holders must have scored a minimum of 45 per cent in class 12 Science (UR category), and candidates who belong to the SC/ST/PwD category must score 40 per cent and 50 per cent marks in their Agro Polytechnic Diploma.

Yes, candidates who belong to the SC/ST/PwD/PMSSS/Kashmiri Migrants and similar categories need to achieve a minimum of 40 per cent marks.

Candidates who belong to the General/UR category need to achieve a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate marks in their class 12 with science stream (extra optional for UR category).
