OUAT Entrance Exam 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Before filling the application form, candidates should ensure that they fulfil the OUAT Entrance Exam 2026 eligibility criteria. The eligibility factors are explained below.
- Candidates belonging to unreserved categories (UR) should secure minimum 50 per cent aggregate marks in PCM, PCB or PCMB.
- Candidates belonging to reserved categories, such as Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PWD), Prime Minister Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS), Kashmiri Migrant, Kashmiri Pandit (Non Migrant), Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non Migrant), have to secure minimum 40 per cent marks in aggregate.
- For Agro-Polytechnic students, the minimum aggregate should be 45 per cent for UR category and 40 per cent for the Reserved category candidates.
Additional OUAT entrance exam BSc eligibility criteria are mentioned below.
- Cleared HSC or equivalent examination with Odia as Modern Indian Language (MIL).
- Candidates who do not have Odia as MIL but their parents are permanent residents of Odisha need to furnish evidence of permanent residency in the form of a certificate from the Revenue Officer concerned, not below the rank of Tahasildar/District Magistrate/their employer concerned.
- Candidates who do not have Odia as MIL and their parents are also not permanent residents of Odisha, but are serving under the Govt. of Odisha/Central Govt. /Public Undertaking or any University in the State of Odisha. Such aspirants must furnish a certificate that assures the same from the Head of the Office/Institution where their parent(s) is/are working.
- Odia students permanently residing outside Odisha must furnish a certificate confirming their Odisha origin, either from their Employer/Tahasildar/District Magistrate (of the District in which they are residing). The certificate can also be submitted from the Tahasildar/ District Magistrate of their native place Odisha.
The above criteria (that is point 2 and 4) do not apply to ICAR/VCI nominees/Foreign Candidates/State Govt. sponsored candidates/children of employees of OUAT.
Age Limit: The age of the applicants should not be less than 17 years as on the last day of the year.

The OUAT Entrance Exam 2026 Application Form is released in two stages, Form-A and Form-B. The first form is released first wherein candidates have to fill in personal and contact details, subject and exam city choices, document upload and fee payment.

All other categories of candidates including ICAR Fellowship holders are required to appear at the Entrance Examination.

The Provisional Answer Key is released to raise objections within the given timeline, along with a valid explanation to raise a relevant objection.
