BCECE nursing exam pattern 2025 is all about the details of the question paper and is designed by the conducting body, Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB). The exam pattern helps the candidates to prepare better for the entrance exam. The BCECE exam pattern carries all the details about the exam such as the duration of the exam, language and the marking scheme. The BCECE BSc nursing exam was held on June 8, 2025.

BCECE Exam Pattern Details 2025

The BCECE BSc nursing exam will be an offline exam. The candidates have to appear for the exam and it will be a pen-paper process. No online facility will be given to the candidates. The BCECE BSc nursing exam centres will provide the OMR sheets to the candidates and candidates have to carry their stationaries like pen and pencil with them. The pen and paper-based exam will have question papers available in the bilingual language, Hindi and English. Each section will have 100 objective-type questions and will carry 400 marks in total. All three sections, Physics, Chemistry and Biology will have 300 questions carrying 1200 marks in total. Candidates will be given 90 minutes to complete each section and they cannot inter-switch between sections without attempting completely one section at a time.

BCECE BSc Nursing Exam Syllabus 

The BCECE nursing question paper will be based on the syllabus of class 11 and class 12. The question paper will be set to test the knowledge and ability of the candidates in three subjects, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The question paper will be divided into three sections on all three subjects respectively.

BCECE Marking Scheme

According to the exam pattern of the BCECE Nursing course, there will be negative markings in the examination. Each correct response will translate to four marks and each incorrect response will lead to a deduction of a mark.

Candidates must also note that the questions that have been left unanswered will not affect their marks in any way. For such questions, marks will neither be added nor subtracted.

As per the exam pattern of the BCECE nursing 2025 programme, there will be negative markings in the assessment. Each right answer will be given four marks and each wrong answer will lead to a deduction of one mark. The question left un-attempted by the candidate will be awarded zero marks, no mark will be added or subtracted.

The candidates have to submit their responses on an OMR sheet and there are certain guidelines on the usage of the OMR sheet which the candidates have to follow.

  • Candidates cannot change the answers on the OMR sheet once answered
  • There’s no option of erasing the responses once answered
  • If a candidate has marked two responses for a question, the question will be considered to have an incorrect response and will lead to the deduction of a mark.
  • A separate space for rough work purposes will be provided in the question booklet for the candidates and no candidate is allowed to write anything on the OMR sheet.

BCECE BSc Nursing Exam Day Instructions

On the day of the examination, candidates will be given interval breaks in between the switching of subjects or sections. The candidates have to appear for three subjects, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The candidates will be given a break of 30 minutes between Physics and Chemistry papers and they have to stay within the premises of the test centre. Candidates can take refreshments during this break. The second break between the Chemistry and Biology sections will be of a longer duration, 3.5 hours.  During this break, candidates can have lunch. Candidates are advised to present near the exam centre during this period.

Yes, candidates need to sign on the BCECE admit card. But the signature should be done on the exam day in the presence of the invigilator. In case test takers sign on the admit card before the exam, it may lead to cancellation of the test.

As the BCECE syllabus is the same as the Class 12 Board exam, a common preparation will be sufficient. Along with that students should also solve BCECE mock tests and past question papers.

The BCECE application fee has to be paid in online mode only. The different methods of payment are Credit Card, Debit Card, Netbanking and UPI. There is no possibility to pay in cash, cheque, etc.
