Indian Institute of Technology Dhanbad is one of the oldest IITs. It offers quality education to the students under the guidance of experts.  IIT Dhanbad has been ranked 21 in the QS WUR Ranking By Subject, and it is ranked 110 in Southern Asia and 424 in Asia by QS World Ranking 2026. No, GATE is not a mandatory entrance exam for IIT Patna PhD admissions. To become qualified for IIT Patna course admission to the PhD course, candidates can also appear for the UGC NET as well.
