PTET Exam Day Guidelines - Dos
Reporting time will be mentioned on the admit card. Reach the PTET exam centre well before time to avoid any last-minute rush. Carry a printed copy of the PTET admit card 2026 downloaded from the official website, along with an original photo ID issued by the Government of India.
It is mandatory for all PTET test takers to carry a valid photo identification proof. Check below the list of documents considered as valid photo ID proof for the test day.

- Carry an additional passport-size photograph as a precautionary measure during verification. Candidates claiming reservation benefits should keep the relevant category certificate available if required during verification.
- At the entry gate, examination staff will check the PTET admit card and photo ID. Candidates will be frisked for security purposes. They should co-operate with the test centre staff in this process.
- Items such as mobile phones, watches, bags, books, electronic gadgets, bluetooth devices, wallets, etc. will not be allowed inside the exam centre. So, carry only those items that are permitted as per the PTET admit card 2026.
- Carry only a blue or black ballpoint pen as stationery for filling the OMR sheet and signing the attendance sheet. The PTET exam is OMR-based. Fill circles completely and carefully. Make sure roll number details and booklet series are entered correctly before marking answers.

PTET Exam Day Guidelines - Don'ts
Here are some actions candidates should avoid on PTET exam day:
- Do not sign on admit card before invigilator does so at centre. The invigilator will sign PTET admit card of each test taker after verification process.
- Candidates should not indulge in any kind of malpractice. In case any candidate is found breaking code of conduct, they will be strictly penalized.
- Do not carry books, notes, rough sheets, or any study material inside exam hall. Sheets for rough work, if any, will be provided inside test room.
- Do not carry electronic items such as phones, smart watches, bluetooth devices, earphones, calculators, or any communication device.
- Do not wear heavy jewellery, bracelets, chains, rings, smart watches, or metallic accessories. Prefer simple and comfortable clothing to ensure smooth security checks.
- Do not mark more than one option as your answer. Such entries will be marked invalid.
- Do not create problems for staff at time of identification. Cooperate with them.
- Do not disturb other candidates or attempt to look at their OMR sheets. You will be disqualified for that.
- Do not use a pencil on OMR sheet unless specifically instructed. Do not fold, damage, or make unnecessary marks on OMR sheet.
- Do not leave your seat or exam hall without permission from invigilator.
