About the Rajasthan PTET Exam 2026
PTET tests the eligibility of candidates for admission into the BEd courses. The BEd is a mandatory course to pursue a career in teaching at the secondary and higher secondary levels. PTET exam is conducted in offline mode (pen and paper-based) and a lot of candidates from the length and breadth of the state of Rajasthan appear for it every year. This makes the PTET exam highly popular, competitive, and difficult to crack.
What is the Purpose of the PTET Exam 2026?
Teaching is one of the noble professions in India and it is teachers who are responsible for nation-building because a skilled teacher acts as a guiding light, a force, and a path lighter for students. To do that, exams like PTET, UP BEd JEE, RIE CEE, TSEdCET, etc act as a mechanism to shortlist candidates so that the best students pursue the BEd course and become good teachers in the future.
The purpose of the Rajasthan PTET is to evaluate the teaching aptitude and readiness of candidates for the BEd program offered by various government institutes across the state of Rajasthan. To be eligible to apply for Rajasthan BEd Admission 2026, candidates must have successfully completed their undergraduate or postgraduate degree. They must score a minimum of 50 - 55% marks in their undergraduate and/or postgraduate degree. There is no age restriction to apply for Rajasthan BEd Admission 2026 until notified. however, if candidates want to pursue their BEd degree from a government college in Rajasthan they need to have qualify the PTET exam.
Candidates must attain a minimum age of 21 years of for being eligibile to fill the PTET application form 2026. There is no upper age limit for the same and candidates who have a undergraduate or post graduate degree with a minimum of 50% in qualification can apply. For candidates belonging to reserved categories, there is a relaxation of 5% in the qualification marks.

To apply for the Rajasthan PTET 2026, candidates meet the minimum eligibility requirements. They are required to complete their bachelor's or post-graduation with 50% marks for general categories from a recognized institute. Candidates belonging to the SC ST, OBC, categories must graduate with a minimum of 45% marks.
