About the Rajasthan PTET Exam 2026

PTET tests the eligibility of candidates for admission into the BEd courses. The BEd is a mandatory course to pursue a career in teaching at the secondary and higher secondary levels. PTET exam is conducted in offline mode (pen and paper-based) and a lot of candidates from the length and breadth of the state of Rajasthan appear for it every year. This makes the PTET exam highly popular, competitive, and difficult to crack.

What is the Purpose of the PTET Exam 2026?

Teaching is one of the noble professions in India and it is teachers who are responsible for nation-building because a skilled teacher acts as a guiding light, a force, and a path lighter for students. To do that, exams like PTET, UP BEd JEE, RIE CEE, TSEdCET, etc act as a mechanism to shortlist candidates so that the best students pursue the BEd course and become good teachers in the future.

The Rajasthan PTET aims to assess the teaching aptitude and preparedness of candidates seeking admission to B.Ed programs offered by government institutes across Rajasthan. By evaluating key areas such as mental ability, teaching attitude, general awareness, and language proficiency, the exam ensures that only capable and qualified individuals enter teacher training programs. This, in turn, helps maintain the quality of education and fosters the development of skilled educators who can contribute effectively to the state’s educational growth.
