Candidates must fulfil the IGNOU BEd eligibility criteria if they wish to complete the registration process. The requirements must be fulfilled for education and age by all applicants to fill the IGNOU BEd Application Form 2026. 

IGNOU BEd Eligibility Criteria: Academic

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks.
• Reserved category candidates can apply with 45% marks in graduation.
• Bachelor‘s in Engineering or Technology with specialisation in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other equivalent qualification.
• A Bachelor’s Degree of at least 3 years in a relevant discipline.

IGNOU BEd Eligibility Criteria: Professional

• Having a teacher education programme in face-to-face mode recognised by NCTE is also mandatory.
• Trained in-service teachers in elementary education.

IGNOU BEd Eligibility Criteria: Age

There is no age limit to fill out the IGNOU BEd Application Form. 

Important: The score obtained in the entrance test conducted by IGNOU all over India will be considered. The candidate will be required to submit the filled-in application form with self-attested copies of documents as specified in Entrance-cum-Admission Form. The original documents are to be submitted later for verification, after receiving an offer letter for admission

Before beginning the registration process, the applicants must adhere to the listed guidelines for the IGNOU BEd Entrance Exam. 

• Ineligible submissions of the application forms get rejected. Candidates are requested to check if they fulfill the eligibility criteria or not. 
• The entered details can't be changed later, so add the postal address, email ID, and active contact details.
• Complete the registration process before the last date. The late or incomplete forms are not accepted under any circumstances.
• Multiple submission by a single candidate isn't allowed. If done, there is a chance of complete cancellation.
• The IGNOU exam centre choice is given during the form-filling process, but the final centre allotted by Indira Gandhi National Open University is non-changeable.

Process for IGNOU BEd form-filling:

Fill the Registration Form

• Click on https://ignou-bed.samarth.edu.in/index.php/
• Click on the Apply Online button
• Fill in all details on the registration page.
• Click on Submit button
• Note down the system-generated application number

Fill the Application Form

• Login to the registered account using username and password
• Fill all details in the application form, such as a postal address, category, educational qualification, choice of four cities for exam center, etc
• Click on the Submit button

Upload Scanned Images of Photograph & Signature

Be mindful during the IGNOU BEd Entrance Test application form filing.

• Complete the requirements necessary to appear for the exam.
• Mention the complete postal address. 
• Final submission of the application form remains incomplete if the candidate does not upload scanned images of the photograph and signature.
• If you don't pay the required amount, then the submission remains incomplete.
• You won't get any amount back after paying it.
• There is no provision to upload any certificate or educational document at the time of registration.
• The entire IGNOU BEd Entrance Test application process is online. Therefore, candidates are not required to submit any document or confirmation page through post/ fax/ by hand.
• Multiple application forms submitted by the candidate get rejected.
• Choice of examination cities once filled in the application form cannot be changed.
