The total tuition fee for the B.Tech CSE course is INR 3.40 lakh. Apart from the course fee, students also have to pay one-time, hostel, exam registration feee, etc. Students can visit the official website to know more. 

MBA is a two-year course divided into four semesters. AKTU offers MBA at campus through the Institute of Engineering & Technology, UP Institute of Design and Faculty of Management Studies. Interested candidates should check the eligibility requirements before applying for any of the MBA courses. Aspirants who have passed the bachelor's degree/ equivalent examination can apply for the MBA course. Apart from the academic qualification, candidates also need to qualify CUET-PG to get admission to AKTU MBA course.

Admission for the B.Ed course is entrance-based. Check the steps below to know more:

Application process: The mode of application is online. Candidates must visit the AKTU affiliated college offering admission to B.Ed course for registration.

Selection rounds: Candidates will be shortlisted for B.Ed admission based on IPU CET score. 

Admission confirmation: After completion of the selection rounds, candidates will be called for document verification and counselling. The selected candidates will need to pay fee to confirm their seat.

The selection of candidates to AKTU's BTech programme is based on their UPSEE ranks. The counselling process is also managed and regulated by UPSEE based on which the candidates are allotted seats. However, AKTU has reserved 20% of the total sanctioned seats for the candidates with a valid JEE Main score. JEE Main-qualified candidates are exempted from UPSEE and need to register directly for the counselling process. The list of some of the popular specialisations and minimum eligibility criteria requirements for BTech are listed below:

Candidates who have completed graduation are eligible to apply for AKTU B.Ed course. Besides, meeting the educational requirements, candidates also need to pass IPU CET. Aspirants must check the closing rank of last three years to know the qualifying marks for AKTU B.Ed admission. IPU CET is a pen and paper-based test conducted for a duration of three hours. The question paper includes 150 questions. After completion of the selection rounds, candidates need to pay a fee to confirm their seat in the university.

MBA course at Institute of Engineering and Technology AKTU has been rated  4.0 for faculty as per reviews by students.

Therefore, The teachers are well qualified, and most of them are well experienced in the college and make their course curriculum because it is an independent university mostly favourable to the students. 

According to Times of India it is reported that total number of 70,000 seats were allocated for the B.Tech students at the Institute of Engineering and Technology AKTU. 

However only 30,000 candidates have registered and the rest 40,000 remain vacant after several poorly-resourced engineering colleges shut, culling thousands of seats.

In 2021-22, AKTU had 1.34 Lacs BTech seats,   according to the Times of India 44,384 seats remained vacant.

First year of B.Tech is same for all branches at AKTU. Syllabus of first year is designed to introduce students with basics of all engineering branches. If the student's basics is clear  and has good academic report and knowledge of class 11th and 12th along with teacher's guidance and notes maintained of all subjects with continuous revision students can easily clear 1st year of B tech at AKTU without any back . 

Note- Back means if you got less then 30% marks in any subject in university exam then you need to appear in same exam again.

As of the rest of the degree with proper guidance and continuous revision along with good practical sessions in the labs and project work students can easily pursue B tech at AKTU. It depends on the student.

CUET PG is the accepting exam for AKTU MBA admission. The CUET-PG examination is scheduled to be conducted in March 2026 (tentative). The examination specific details will be informed to candidates through the Information Bulletin of respective examinations, which will be published at the time of launch of the CUET PG Registration Forms.

Candiates seeking admission to AKTU and have appeared for the CUET-UG entrance test are eligible to register themselves for the Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC) counselling process conducted by AKTU. Also, candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from any institution located in UP or whose parents are domicile of UP subject to the eligibility conditions given in the AKTU brochure are eligible for the counselling round. 

The last date to complete the UPTAC counseling registrations is currenty unkonw. Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University is yet to commence the UPTAC counselling 2026 registration on the website. Applicants with a valid JEE Main score can complete the UPTAC counselling registration at uptac.admissions.nic.in. Candidates have to provide certain personal details and educational qualification at the time of UPTAC BTech counselling registration. Candidates also have to complete choice filling at the time of registration process.  

More than 6,000 job opportunities were made in technical and non-technical streams during the 2024 placements. For the Institute of Engineering and Technology, 10 international offers and 44 PPOs were made in 2024. 

As per media reports, 1,531 students were selected in TCS. A total of 318 students were placed with a package of INR 7.60 LPA in TCS Digital and rest 1,213 students were placed with a package of INR 3.60 LPA in TCS Ninja during AKTU placement 2025.

Furthermore, a campus placement drive was organized by an Ed-Tech company on behalf of T&P cell. In this placement drive, MBA and BTech students from affiliated colleges has taken part. According to media report, a total of 12 students have been selected for the post of Sales Executive with CTC of INR 4.12 LPA.

AKTU JEE Main Cutoff was released for various BTech and other courses. The cutoff was released in the form of opening and closing cutoff ranks for different categories under the All India and Home State quota. Overall, the most in-demand specialisation was BTech in Computer Science and Engineering. The last-round closing rank for BTech in CSE among the General AI category was 30752.6. 

AKTU has recorded good placements for its Institute of Engineering and Technology. As per the report, the highest package offered in 2024 was 53 LPA. The off-campus highest package was 112 LPA. IET recorded average package of 8.2 LPA in 2024. 

As per the annual report 2023-24, 13,898 students were placed during the 2024 drive. All the important details related to AKTU placements are mentioned below:

AKTU CUET PG cutoff 2024 was the deciding criteria for admission to the MCA course. The cutoff was released through affiliated colleges of the university. The last round closing ranks for various affiliated colleges varied between 435 and 17104. The college with the toughest cutoff was Fort Institute of Technology. Meanwhile, the college with the most lenient cutoff was Axis Colleges. In 2025, the cutoff range for the General AI category could be between 400 and 18000 for various affiliated colleges.

AKTU is a state-level, public collegiate university. Formerly known as Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU), it is a University of National Importance, specially for the UG and PG courses offered in the field of Engineering and Science. AKTU is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
