    Q:   Who is eligible for admission at AMU?
    A: 

    For undergraduate admission to courses, including BA (Hons), BVoc and BSc (Hons) through CUET-UG, candidates must have a valid CUET-UG score. For BA (Hons) admission, candidates must have to attempt the Domain/ General/ Languages sections of CUET while appearing for the entrance test along with the minimum eligibility criteria set by AMU. Final selection for most of the UG and PG courses via CUET is based on candidates' performance in the counselling round. Talking about the minimum eligibility requirement for AMU UG courses, candidates must have passed the Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 50%.     AMU conducts its own entrance test called Aligarh Muslim University Common Admission Test (AMU-CAT) for admission to the MBA course. The Admission Test shall be held at Aligarh, Kolkata & Kozhikode. Based on the marks secured by the candidates in the AMU-CAT entrance test, a merit list for admission will be drawn. Candidates whose names appear in the merit list released by the University are then required to appear for the Group Discussion & Personal Interview (GD & PI) round. The final selection is based on the candidates' performance in the counselling process, conducted by AMU.

    For MBBS: INR 1000 (Per month including Mess charge.

    Rooms are neat, clean, and spacious, with a separate bed table and chair and a separate almirah. In the summer, coolers can be requested by students. Every hostel at AMU has one common room and one reading room. Clean bathrooms with hot and cold water and clean, filtered cold water coolers are also present in every hostel.

    AMU NEET Cutoff 2025 was released till Round 5 for admission to the MBBS and BDS courses. AMU accepts the NEET Cutoff ranks, followed by AMU NEET Counselling for admission to the medical courses. The AMU Cutoff 2025 for NEET was released for all categories under the All India quota. 

    For the General category candidates, the cutoff for MBBS course admission was  12762, according to the last round closing ranks. For the BDS course admission, the last round closing rank was 29279.  Please note that the cutoff ranks vary for each category, round, courses, etc.
