Candidates have to fill out the application form online an submit it in offline mode. Aspirants can send the filled-in application form to the campus address via post. Candidates can also submit the form along with the specified documents to the nearest Learners Support Centre or LSC. 

Annamalai University Distance Education offers admission to candidates based on their merit. Candidates can get a seat directly through Spot Admission. All Spot Admissions are subject to confirmation or cancellation (if found ineligible) by the Director, CD&OE.

Annamalai University admissions are conducted based on merit and entrance which may differ as per the course opted for. Candidates opting for UG level degree must obtain a minimum aggregate of 40% to 50% in Class 12. Similarly, candidates pursuing for PG level programme must  secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in graduation. Additionally, candidates require to pursue either of the class from Class 8 to Class 12 along with a 'Nativity Certificate' to be eligible for admission at Annamalai University. Furthermore, candidates must secure valid scores in suggested entrance exams such as NEET UG/ PG, IMUCET, TANCET, CEETA etc.
