Students should apply online using the University's official website. For admission to UG and PG courses, Madras University accepts a number of national-level entrance exams. After successfully registration, students should take the course-specific entrance test to be considered for admission. The University will publish a merit list of selected students basis their test scores. Students whose names appear on the merit list should pay the admission fee to secure their places.
