CUET BHU CAP UG Portal
The BHU CAP UG Portal will be launched for undergraduate admissions at Banaras Hindu University through CUET. The portal will be made live at bhucue.samarth.edu.in. Candidates seeking admission at Banaras Hindu University for UG courses have to register themselves at the BHU CAP UG 2026 Portal by selecting their programme and college preferences in their CAP UG form 2026. Once the registration process is over, candidates will be allocated seats based on their selected preferences, CUET UG 2026 scores, and course-wise cut-off for different categories. Once the cut off list is released, candidates can check the allotment result at the portal.
The registration will be considered successful only if the relevant documents are submitted and the BHU CAP UG 2026 registration fee is paid. Banaras Hindu University launches a Combined Allotment Program (CAP) UG portal for students seeking admission at BHU through CUET UG. The BHU CAP UG 2026 portal is a common platform for admission to all undergraduate programmes across various faculties/colleges at Banaras Hindu University. The university considers only those applications as valid that it receives through BHU’s official online portal, CAP UG. Candidates will be allotted seats based on their CUET scores, and college and course preferences. CUET normalised score is calculated as per the formula prescribed by National Testing Agency. The process is as follows:
- In first step, CUET raw scores are calculated for every candidate
- Then NTA calculates the percentile by applying the formula: Number of students with a CUET raw score equal to or less than a score a particular candidate/ Total number of students) x 100
- After converting into percentile, the scores are then normalised based on difficulty level of each session/slot
No, you cannot get admission to IIT BHU through CUET. The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), including IIT BHU offers admission based on JEE scores. However, the Banaras Hindu University offers admission to 23 undergraduate courses through CUET UG scores.

Candidates seeking admission at BHU must follow these steps to register themselves at the BHU CAP UG 2026.

Candidates planning to apply at BHU must ensure to check the Age Limit and CUET 2026 Eligibility Criteria for their target UG programme before selecting the course in the registration form. Banaras Hindu University will open the BHU CAP UG 2026 correction window, tentatively in the first week of August 2026, for already registered candidates. With this, candidates can edit the BHU CAP UG 2026 registration form and save the updated changes. According to Banaras Hindu University, candidates can modify their already selected courses and add more to them during this period.
BHU CAP UG 2026: Seat Allocation
Banaras Hindu University provides admission to students to UG courses based on merit scores. These scores are calculated through CUET UG Normalised scores. Candidates who meet the BHU CUET eligibility criteria and will submit all relevant category documents (if applicable) will be allocated seats based on their selected preferences and the university's seat availability.

BHU accepts CUET UG scores for admission to several undergraduate courses, including BA (Hons.) in Social Sciences, BA LLB (Hons.), etc. CUET cut-off for BHU has been released for UG courses. BHU has released the Round 4 Seat Allotment Result, and as per the BHU round 4 cutoff 2025, B.Sc. (Hons) in Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology was the most competitive course with a cutoff score of 628.46 for the General category student.
CUET UG cut off will vary from course to course and universities. To know the cut off for CUET UG courses, candidates must stay updated with the notification released by the universities for admissions. As per the previous year analysis, candidates can expect the CUET UG cut off for various top courses under Arts, Commerce and Science as mentioned below:

National Testing Agency (NTA) does not release the CUET UG cutoff. Once the CUET results are declared, the socres are shared with the participating universities and role of NTA ends with the declaration of results. CUET UG 2025 cutoff has been released by the CUET participtaing universities seperatley. Candidates will be able to check the course wise and category wise cutoff. CUET UG cutoff 2026 has been released by accepting universities after declaration of CUET UG results.
BHU CAP UG 2026: Offer Acceptance
Candidates who have been allotted seats will have to accept the offer by paying a commitment fee of INR 2500 (INR 500 for SC/ST) online. The fee has to be paid by 6 PM by the next day on which the BHU CUET UG merit list is published; otherwise, the admission will be withdrawn permanently.
Candidates who wish to float or upgrade for higher preferences must not pay the fee to lock the seat.
BHU CAP UG 2026: Provisional Admission Letter and Fee Payment
Once a candidate locks a seat and receives the provisional admission, they have to visit the university the next day by 10 AM for offline counselling. The admission department will provide the candidates who have locked their seats with their admission letter. Candidates are required to collect the letter and review the details for any discrepancies. Once done, candidates must pay the balance course fee at the university to confirm the admission.
