For last year, the closing rank for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering was 18880, which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. The infrastructure is well maintained, and the placements are good, with the average being 11–12 LPA
Placements: In my course at BIT Mesra, about 65–70 percent students get placed consistently, but from the past few years it has dropped slightly. The highest package is 19 LPA and the lowest is 3 LPA, and an average of 7.5–8 LPA is common. There are many top companies like Google, Microsoft, and a lot of core companies which visit the campus consistently. 60 percent of students get internships in core companies and tech companies. Roles include site engineer, design engineer, quantity surveyor, trainee engineer, and roles in structural, geotechnical, transportation, and environmental engineering.
Infrastructure: Many equipment in the labs are damaged but still being used. The Wi-Fi connection is very good, giving a high-speed network of up to 100 Mbps. The library is quite disappointing as books are in bad condition and there are not enough facilities, and there is no AC in the library.
Faculty: The faculty is very good and helpful in all activities, including academics and other things. Most of the teachers are highly educated and hold a Ph.D. degree. The relevant subjects to the course start being taught from the 2nd year and are mostly helpful in getting a job and very useful. The semester exam difficulty is usually average, and the passing percentage is 40 percent, but there is also relative grading.
Other: The campus life is quite good, and the fests are very interesting and lively with lots of energy.

Civil maatt lo CSE, mech, ECE, EEE are good options.
Placements: The students were placed, but the LPA was not worth it. We have a 4 LPA average in our branch, but according to the price, it is not worth it at all. On top of that, you have to pay such a hefty amount. Go for this branch only if you are interested in government exams or if you want a good NIRF ranking college.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. The campus is big and full of greenery, and it has good vibes in terms of nature. The buildings are also good, but the hostels and their Wi-Fi are not good, as Wi-Fi is down most of the time, due to which I recommend that you take a backup plan for Wi-Fi for yourself.
Faculty: The curriculum is just according to the old times and not new. The first year is all about the basics of all the other branches like ECE, EEE, Mech, Physics, Chemistry and Maths, the usual subjects like those of an NIT or IIT. The same syllabus is followed here. The teachers are well qualified, but some will tune with you, and many will not.
Other: Theek ha itna kuch khaas nahie ha basis nirf ranking aur gfti me number 1 ha toh hone ke karan bacche aa rahe ha Nagar yaha ka feels kam hota between 8 to 10 Lacs then it's worth the titles of gfti no.1.

Amazing campus, good placements, good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: 75% of students were placed in Civil this year. The highest package was around 16 LPA, the median package was around 8 LPA, and the lowest package was around 2 LPA. Top recruiting companies include IOCL, Deloitte, Accenture, Hindalco, TATA, etc. Top roles include structural engineer, project manager, and urban planner.
Infrastructure: The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled (around 150 Mbps if you get a strong signal). The hostel Wi-Fi works well most of the time, but sometimes it goes down. The food varies hostel-wise. It is better than other colleges (you won't find insects and all in your food daily).
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Most of the teachers are cool in nature, and they teach really well. The course curriculum is as per all other Indian B.Tech Colleges, which we know is already outdated. The semester exams are at a fairly difficult level with a high pass percentage.

Good college, hostel facility avg, placements are avg, and lush green campus.
Placements: The highest package last year, 2024, was 1.45 crores, and the average package was almost 11.5 LPA. Almost every company has different roles offered here at the college. The placements record of this year has not come out as per true strength, but it is expected that the placements are more or less the same as the previous year.
Infrastructure: The hostels are good, but the water in the bathrooms is hard. The hair feels oily after a bath, and despite having a water purifying setup at Mesra, the drinking water is not up to that standard. The Wi-Fi here is not reliable. Sometimes it gets cut due to unnecessary reasons, and gaming on hostel Wi-Fi is restricted. You can't play any game here unless you find a solution. The food quality is decent.
Faculty: The faculty at Mesra is very good, but one or two department teachers are just very strict and rude, due to which the whole branch's name is famous. The strict teachers ask for discipline and will scold you every time you are seen out of discipline in their respective classes. The rest of the faculty members are great. The teachers are more than qualified, the semester exams are easy to pass for the 1st and 2nd semesters, but from then on, you have to work hard.

Used to be good, but now it's doomed.
Placements: Nearly 60-80 percent of my courses were placed last year. The highest is 50 LPA, the lowest is 4 LPA, and the average is around 15 LPA. Oracle, Infosys, Texas Instruments, Intel, Microsoft, Google, Goldman Sachs, Atlassian, etc. The roles offered are SDE, hardware engineer, network engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi is good, but is restricted to a limited number of sites. Labs aren't maintained regularly, and the classrooms are enough to accommodate, but not all the teachers are well-equipped to tech. The library is good, but the environment there isn't good. The hostel is just bad. The food is bad. The rooms that are meant to be for one person are currently given to two students.
Faculty: The teachers are knowledgeable, but the students don't actually study from them. They are qualified and are ready to help, except for a few who are too strict and should be replaced. I would say the curriculum is relevant to make students industry-ready. The semester exams, particularly for ECE, are very hard. The pass percentage is relatively low, so it would depend on the quality of the students.

Good college, but only recommend for branches like CSE and AIML.
Placements: Placement in AIML is similar to CSE, almost all companies allow students to sit in AIML. Till now, 40-50 percent of students are placed. The highest package is around 28 LPA, with an average of 16 LPA. In CSE, around 70 percent of students get placed, with an average package of around 16 LPA-18 LPA. Around 80 percent of students get placed.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is good, but there are some restrictions, like the game website is blocked, and the mess food is average, like in a week they give 4-5 good meals. The hostel room is quite small, not for 2 people. The classroom is good with proper projectors. Free medical facilities are also available sports facilities are also good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, but in some branches like ECE, some professors are rude. In the CSE branch, teachers are chill and helpful. They are highly qualified like IITians, NITans, etc. They are also experienced. The curriculum is the same as IIT and NIT. You have to do coding by yourself. The semester exams are a little hard.
Other: AIML is a new branch. The syllabus is also new. Fests are average, you will enjoy them. The alumni network is also good.
