It has great campus life and great placements.

Placements: Placements are quite good in BIT Mesra. More than 90% of students get placed each year. The rest of students go for higher studies. The highest package offered is 54 LPA for two students. More than 200 companies visited the college for the 2024 placements season. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Atlassian, Amazon, Visa, Nvidia, etc., visit the college for placements. Top recruiters of the Production and Industrial Engineering branch are Tata Steel, Flipkart, Amazon, and Jindal Steel. The top role offered is supply chain manager.

Infrastructure: Laboratories have state-of-the-art infrastructure, which includes a Zeiss electronic microscope, MIG TIG, NMR spectroscope, NDTs, 3D printers, and various other machines and equipment that help in our course. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled including our labs and all hostels. Every hostel room is provided with an access point. The food served in the hostel is quite decent. But there is a table tennis and a badminton court in every hostel. Hostel life is quite good.

Faculty: Faculty members are knowledgeable and helpful, They are ready to help us with our ideas and help us to be able to execute such ideas. Classes are fun and easygoing. The course structure is up to date with recent trends and future-proof. It also includes industrial training and hands-on experience. Semester exams are moderately difficult. Many students pass with good scores.

Other: I chose this course because it teaches supply chain management and makes students future-ready. I also chose this course because of my JEE rank.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of faculty, as it's too aggressive and strict.

Placements: The percentage of placement in my college varies according to branches, but in my branch (production), it's around 70%. The highest placement offer was 18 LPA, the average was 10.8 LPA, and the median package is 9.2 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Tata, Infosys, and others.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available in the course are good and well maintained. The hostel facility is average, and the quality of food in the mess varies according to the day. Sometimes it's good, and sometimes it's average. Medical facilities are very good, and sports facilities are also good.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, but they are very strict and aggressive in nature. However, they complete the syllabus on time by taking extra classes. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant and prepares students well. The semester exam in my college is moderate, and around 85% of students pass every year.

Other: Because of my rank, this course is the only one available, and the best thing about my course is that it includes industrial work, which I love. I think some AI parts could be included in this course to improve it. Many events are organized in my college, and the campus has a huge crowd.

The college has a good reputation and a great place to be in.

Placements: As I am in my first year, I do not know much about the placements but I am sure that the college has nice placements. As far as I have heard from my seniors and relatives who have studied here, the placements are good. Good companies visit the campus and offer handsome packages.

Infrastructure: The food is good but the rooms are not big enough to occupy two people. The hostel includes a cycle parking room where you can park your cycle, an entertainment room with a television, table tennis boards, carrom boards, etc. All the floors have a sufficient number of well-cleaned washrooms and at least one water dispenser. Medical facilities are provided round the clock.

Faculty: The faculty is top notch and the exams are held under a very strict standard. The semester is 5 months with some kind of test/exam being held every month. Labs get a little hectic. One needs to catch up with what the faculty is teaching in order to do well in exams as most of the questions are discussed in class.

Other: You will get a good college life that's for sure. Your placement depends on you, obviously. But good companies visit the campus for sure.

BIT Mesra- A close look!

Placements: After the 6th semester of B.Tech, the students are eligible for campus placements. Various companies visit to the campus such as MICROSOFT, BYJUS, ACCENTURE, TCS, TATA GROUP, WALMART, PWC, AMAZON, WIPRO, SAMSUNG, etc. And various offers are made to them which differ company wise. I Usually the average salary stands for CSE at 19lpa. , the highest rose upto 53lpa. These profiles are being at teach roles. Almost 85-95% gets placed. As for my plans after getting degree, my plan is for higher studies and further.

Infrastructure: There is a big well maintained AC with 24x7 Wi-Fi equipped library present in the campus where a wide variety of books and journals are present. Also a digital library is present. Classrooms are well AC furnished and also Wi-Fi facility is provided and big size smartboards and the wider space of classroom is available with more than 200 students capacity. The sports facility is another excellent edge on the corners of the campus, a big playground is available where all games can be played with a sports complex where indoor games can also be.

Faculty: The curriculum set by the department of coordinator of BIT MESRA is truly excellent. They always try to teach those concepts which can be beneficial for a student for their future and can be applied in real world. One thing I would like to add that some improvements needs to be added in the course curriculum. Those can be the hecticness and the vastness. Exams are being conducted frequently which are 2 quizzes, midsem and then finally the last endsem. The faculty to student ratio is quite appreciable. All the teachers are here very well disciplined and very friendly with the students and their mentorship and guidance helps a student to understand the concepts very easily. We can interact with our faculty members at any time as they are very helpful and help us sort all the problems.

Absolutely satisfied because of the environment and good peers that the college provides.

Placements: Around seventy-five to eighty percent of the students got placed. The highest package was around 14 lacs per annum and the lowest package was around 7 lacs per annum. Top recruiting companies were Tata Steel, Volvo India, Flipkart, Maybach Consulting, Bain and Company, and Deloitte.

Infrastructure: My department (Production and Industrial Engineering) consists of a foundry shop, a carpentry shop, a welding shop, a fitting shop, a machine shop and a robotics lab. Campus Wi-Fi is available everywhere on campus. Every hostel room has its own Wi-Fi box, and the quality of the food is good. The health center is open 24*7.

Faculty: Yes, the teachers are helpful and they are very qualified and knowledgeable but their teaching quality is average. Yes, the course curriculum is well structured and it makes students industry-ready. Mid-semester examinations are not very difficult but end-semester exams are a bit difficult. In order to pass any subject, one needs to obtain a minimum of 40 marks out of 100.
