It has a great campus life and opportunities.

Placements: The current job market is saturated, leading to a dip in placements at BIT Mesra. The tech branch still secures decent on-campus placements. Lower branches like biotechnology face challenges. The average package for the chemical branch in the core company is 7.30 LPA and in the non-core company is 10.8 LPA. The lowest package is 8.10 LPA. The highest package offered in the chemical engineering program at BIT Mesra is 52 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Reliance Industries Limited, Vedanta Limited, Aditya Birla Group, Visa Steel Limited, Tata Steel, Dr. Reddy's Limited, etc., visit the college to hire students. Above 90% of students get placed.

Infrastructure: BIT Mesra has a lush green campus. The hostel and other facilities are well-maintained. Sports infrastructure is also good. We have a sports complex in which there are two badminton courts and two volleyball courts. It consists of a large field. BIT Mesra also conducts an annual athletics meet in February. There are thirteen hostels of which there are two girls' hostels. Wi-Fi facilities are also good in hostels, the campus, the library, labs, and classrooms. There is a dispensary on campus and an ambulance is also provided to students for any medical emergency. The mess facilities are decent despite the high charges.

Faculty: BIT Mesra has the finest faculty members, including PhD holders and postgraduates from top institutions, making teaching quality excellent. The student-to-teacher ratio is quite balanced ensuring opportunities for doubt clarification. The course curriculum offered in the BIT Mesra is relevant. Semester exams are quite tough making it difficult for students to pass. There is one mid-semester exam, one end-semester exam, and two quizzes between these two exams. Only a few students fail to clear exams and they have to clear back papers.

Other: BIT Mesra holds a good reputation, so I chose this college. BIT Mesra hosts several fests throughout the year, including cultural, technical, and entrepreneurial events like Bitotsav named the annual cultural fest which is hosted in March, in 2025 it is between 21-23 March. The theme for Bitotsav this year is signature. The technical fest named Pantheon is conducted in October, this fest includes some events like Mr and Miss. Pantheon is conducted by Leo club, and the entrepreneurial event is E-submit which was conducted in January by EDC club.

Reality of college life and campus.

Placements: BIT Mesra usually has a good placement record, and there are quite a few students with higher packages. 70-85% of students get placed in this institute. The highest package ranges from 30-40 LPA, and the average package ranges from 10-12 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Microsoft, Google, Tata Steel, Swiggy, Zomato, etc., visit the college to hire students.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are fully furnished and well-organised. It has smart classes. It has a great medical and research infrastructure. There are a lot of opportunities to excel in life. Hostels are in very good condition despite getting a singles room in 1st year. The campus environment is really mind-calming.

Faculty: Teachers have great knowledge about the course and complete the objective of the subject. I personally have great interaction with the faculty. They are really supportive. Exam objectives are completed in order to make the students capable enough to get subject knowledge and apply it in practical life.

Other: Overall, it has a good campus. Apart from college, people matter whom we make friends in college life.

The ROI of this college is quite less for core branches.

Placements: Placements are quite decent. But our seniors in chemical and other core branches are facing issues in placements. Although in circuital branches there are no such issues, they also give in campus placements, and many reputable companies like Wipro, TCS, and Amazon come to hire our students.

Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are now improving. But rooms are extremely small, and this can't be enlarged anyway, so it's one of the problems at BIT M. We have electricity and water excess throughout the day and night. We have got washing machines to avoid any sort of problems with our clothes, especially during the winter.

Faculty: Faculty members are highly experienced in their respective fields. All of us are the holders of dual and triple degrees. We have our HOD of CSE from IIT Bombay itself who is so talented. Also, we have Tandon sir as the mathematics HOD who teaches math so easily.

Other: I chose this course because I'm interested in chemistry and further teaching, but if you want placement in the Chemistry Core, then it would be quite difficult.

Would like to recommend this college. Join it and expose yourself.

Placements: Placements of this college are good enough, in fact better than many other colleges, but for non-circuital branches, it's not too good. For circuital branches like CSE, EVE, and AIML, it's awesome. The placement cell is also too good here and focused towards critical branches, but again, I want to say the same for non-circuital branches, it all depends on your performance.

Infrastructure: Infra and facilities are also pretty enough, in fact, the Wi-Fi facility is also too good. The food quality is also nice as it is managed under the mess community of students. The environment over here is too good, like no AC is required as the climate is good enough. You can say it’s humid and cool.

Faculty: Faculty over here is too nice, to be honest. Each and every faculty member over here is dedicated to teaching. They really want to make students understand. Each faculty member over here is well qualified, in fact, most of them are doctorates.

Other: To be honest, the crowd is good as the selection over here is really tough and selective. In the circuital branch, you must have a good percentile to get admission.

The placements and infrastructure of birla institute of technology, mesra in 2023 .

Placements: In my branch the placement percentage is 42%. Highest is 32 LPA and lowest is 10 LPA. ITC , Reliance et are the top recruiters. Almost 70 % of the students got internship Assistant manager is the role offered. One student got placed in reliance petroleum private limited and he got an annual package of 26 LPA.

Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure like high speed wifi , good labs and a world class library which has more than 50k books. The food is average and the hostel are also not bad at all. Medical facilities are better than any other collages. Sports and games are good.

Faculty: The faculty is good and well experienced and their teaching skills are also great. The semester exams are a bit difficult , but if you prepare well enough you can crack the semester with good CGPA. This course will make the students industry ready at the time of their 4th year.

Will I get any branch in BIT – Mesra? I am from Jharkhand. I have scored 80 marks in JEE mains and 85% in class 12th.

Hey Buddy! I'll not give you false hopes. It is too difficult to get a seat at BIT, Mesra in engineering course in regard to the details that you have provided. The thing is that 85% in CBSE board (Would like you to confirm your board), degrades your chances. Though, I would recommend you to pursue
