Phenomenal college with great placements.
Placements: My passing out batch had a solid placement rate as most of the students were placed. Approximately 70-80% of students were placed in my course. The highest package is around 60 LPA, whereas the average may be around 14-15 Lacs CTC, and the lowest may be around 6 Lacs. Top recruiting companies include NXP Semiconductors, NVIDIA, etc. Around 20-25% of students get internships, and roles offered are majorly consulting, data analyst, SDE roles, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities include smartboards available alongside blackboards to teach the curriculum perfectly and at an advanced level. Campus Wi-Fi is available everywhere on the campus, and hostels are also equipped with Wi-Fi. Canteens and college canteens are available during college times.
Faculty: Teachers are highly educated and qualified, with a pinch of general knowledge. The teaching quality is fun and interactive. The course curriculum is entirely relevant in view of the placement season in core companies or software companies. The coding culture on the campus is also somewhat very competitive and healthy.
Other: Events are conducted once a semester, including a teach fest, one seasonal Bitotsav (which is an annual fest), and some small fests organized by the societies of the college.

Used to be good, but now it's doomed.
Placements: Nearly 60-80 percent of my courses were placed last year. The highest is 50 LPA, the lowest is 4 LPA, and the average is around 15 LPA. Oracle, Infosys, Texas Instruments, Intel, Microsoft, Google, Goldman Sachs, Atlassian, etc. The roles offered are SDE, hardware engineer, network engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi is good, but is restricted to a limited number of sites. Labs aren't maintained regularly, and the classrooms are enough to accommodate, but not all the teachers are well-equipped to tech. The library is good, but the environment there isn't good. The hostel is just bad. The food is bad. The rooms that are meant to be for one person are currently given to two students.
Faculty: The teachers are knowledgeable, but the students don't actually study from them. They are qualified and are ready to help, except for a few who are too strict and should be replaced. I would say the curriculum is relevant to make students industry-ready. The semester exams, particularly for ECE, are very hard. The pass percentage is relatively low, so it would depend on the quality of the students.

Faculty members in CSE are good, but for ECE, they are the worst. Good coding culture in college.
Placements: Mostly, people from my branch prefer to go into tech jobs, and many of them go for off-campus placement. The number of core companies visiting our campus is less. Nvidia, texas instruments comes in our college for core placements, but the number of students that they are hiring is very low. But placements are good if your CGPA is 8+.
Infrastructure: Hostel rooms are very small. In the first year, hostel rooms are still big, but from the second year, their size is very small. In a room, 2 students are present, which is something that I don't like about this college. There are also some three-sharing rooms in the hostel, and they are pretty good, but only a few students get them. Wi-Fi is average, like those students whose rooms are in the corners of the hostel didn't get much access to Wi-Fi. Classrooms are 10/10, like they are very good. Labs are also well-maintained.
Faculty: Faculty of ECE are worst, they are very strict. If you are sincere, then they have no problem, but if you do anything other than a class activity or something that they didn't like, then they will show you what they can do. Marks are in their hand they can definitely compel you to repeat the semester. The curriculum is very rigorous. ECE is one of the toughest branch is our college. Exams are like quizzes are normal, but mid and end sem exams are good, if they caught you cheating, then you can definitely accept a back.
Other: Events are also good. Bitotsav and Aagman are our major festivals. The campus crowd is mixed, like coding culture in our college is very good, seniors are very much into coding and hackathons, etc. Also, they help us in every possible manner.

I will recommend Birla Institute of Technology Mesra.
Placements: Placement rate is above 80 percent. Top company, FAANG, recruits from our college. Top roles offered are VLSI, processors, etc. The highest placement package is 30 to 35 LPA, and the average is 20 to 25 LPA. It is a very good college for placement. It has a very large alumni group, especially for the ECE branch. The college does not know how to use it, so you have to make efforts to connect with them through LinkedIn. Come to my college.
Infrastructure: The food menu is decided by the student body living in that. Home-like food in some hostels, like H5, is great. Any problem, we have Dean sir, for student affairs. If anyone is behaving rudely, you can talk to sir, and you do not need any other proof.
Faculty: ECE faculty is strict and reduces a lot of marks. It is hard to score in 3rd sem. Students need to focus on the coding era and also on placements for good roles. The exams are held continuously without any break in the final exam. This becomes hectic sometimes and can cause a headache.
Other: There is a lot of green forest for fresh air, especially in Delhi, Haryana, and Punjab. The campus is too big, you need to buy a cycle.

Placement varies every year. Infrastructure and environment are good. Faculty depends on the course.
Placements: I am currently in 1st year, I do not have the exact knowledge but as I have conversed with the seniors, the placement for ECE is decent but you need to have a good GPA maintained. Some specific companies always come and offer a decent package to many students.
Infrastructure: Management is questionable but the infrastructure is quite good. Hostel rooms are kind of small for two students but you will get used to them in no time. The Wi-Fi is available all around the campus so its a plus point. Sports facilities are decent. Dispensary provide free medicine.
Faculty: Faculty for ECE is very harsh will be hard compared to other courses. All the seniors told us about the faculty and we experienced it ourselves. The ECE faculty is harsh with marks and grades, some teachers are very good but there are also some who you will not like.

It offers good placements and ROI.
Placements: Approximately 90 percent of students got placed in this placement season. The highest package offered is 1.45 crores per annum. The average package offered is 11.57 LPA. In ECE, the average package ranges from 14-15 LPA. I don't know about top recruiting companies because I am only a fresher in this college and not a senior.
Infrastructure: Quality is good, like NIT Jamshedpur. The food served is also like home. A games facility is also there. Badminton and all sorts of games are available. Wi-Fi is also good here, except for the fact that it takes time to get started. Apart from that, the LAN facility is also there.
Faculty: Semester exams are not very difficult. The pass percentage is also good this time, but I am not aware of it as I am at home during winter vacation. The course curriculum is highly relevant as in the first year, we are exposed to all types of subjects from PPS to industrial workshops and from electronics to engineering graphics.

It is a place of opportunities and success.
Placements: I belong to the ECE branch at BIT Mesra. As per the 2024 placement data, there is a 70 percent placement rate with the highest package of 51 LPA. The college environment is really very impressive, with the faculty members being very supportive here.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. The quality of food served is very good compared to other colleges' mess food. Some problems, like poor drinking water quality, shorter rooms, etc., are still faced by us. The college has provided its own dispensary for medical purposes. The sports culture is good at BIT, if compared to other colleges in Jharkhand.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful during exam times. They even provide us with notes and other required study materials. The course curriculum is still not updated as per the needs of the modern generation. It is a drawback to students for making them industry-ready. Overall, the quality of teaching here is very good.

Campus life is good here if you have friends.
Placements: I am a fresher, so I do not know much about placements, but if you work hard and focus on what you really want, you surely will get a good placement. I think the average for ECE this year is around 16 to 17 LPA, and the highest package is 60 LPA something.
Infrastructure: Hostels are clean, but the rooms are small for two people. The mess food is okay, not so good, not so bad. The vibes in the hostel are so good, you are really gonna love it. Washrooms are clean but not in that good condition. Geysers work in all the washrooms.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful if you maintain discipline in class. They also help you with attendance. Some professors are kind of strict, so be aware of them. They are experienced and focused in class, and you do not have to study at the last minute. Lab professors are not that good here.
Other: I chose ECE because I have interest in core and BIT. The core is good.

There is no specific reservation for female category at BIT Mesra. There is a chance of getting Biotechnology and Chemical (Plastics and Polymer) at BIT Mesra. For other branches like ECE, you may consider BIT Patna or BIT Deoghar campuses.
