Q:   Which colleges comes under DU?
    A:

At present, DU consists of 80+ departments including North & South campuses. It has 77 affiliated colleges and 5 other institutes with an enrollment of more than 1.3 lakhs regular and 2.6 lakhs non-regular students. Some of the colleges under DU are SRCC, Kirori Mal College, LSR, Hansraj College, Hindu College, Gargi, Sri Venkateshwara College and Miranda House among others. The entrance exams accepted by the university include CUET DUET and DU LL.B. Entrance Test among others.

Q:   What is DU CUET UG Counselling process?
    A:

Before the CUET counselling process for DU will even begin, it is necessary that aspirants opt for DU during CUET form filling and later apply on the CSAS portal to be eligible for admission. The admission process after CUET result declaration is explained below:

Step 1: After the declaration of the CUET UG exam, register on the DU CSAS portal in multiple phases.

Step 2: Submit College + Course combination preferences in the order of priority on the CSAS dashboard.

Step 3: The University has released the dates for three DU CSAS Seat Allocation Lists for all categories.

    • The "freeze" option in seat allocation for CSAS (DU) is to be selected by the students to confirm their admission choice to the allocated college and course at DU.
    • If candidates are happy with the assigned college and course, they can freeze the request through their dashboard.
    • Once they select this option, they will not be considered for "upgradation" of choice in further rounds of CSAS.
    • Candidates must only select this option only if they are satisfied with the allocated seat and want to take admission to this course & college
    • If they do not choose to upgrade or freeze your admission, their current status will be maintained.

Step 4: Once the candidate "Accept" the provisionally allocated seat, the concerned college will verify the eligibility and documents uploaded by the candidate online. The college has an option to 'Accept' or 'Reject' the admission of the student basis the verification.

Step 5: Once the DU-affiliated college accords the approval, candidates will have to pay the 'Admission Fee' to confirm their seat.

On the basis of the availability of seats due to rejections, cancellations, and withdrawals, DU may announce multiple allocation rounds. The University of Delhi will display the vacant seats on its admission website (admission.uod.ac.in) before every allocation round.

Q:   When will the DU admission form be out?
    A:

DU registrations via CUET 2023 for UG programmes began on Feb 10, 2023 and were open till Mar 30, 2023. Additionally, for admission to PG courses, DU CUET-PG registrations for the 2023 session started on Mar 20 and were open till May 5. Check CUET PG application process in detail

Followed by the application forms of CUET UG and CUET PG, DU has already started the DU CSAS registration for final college and course allotment of students who qualified the CUET UG exam. The process will begin soon for CUET PG qualifiers as well.

Q:   Does Delhi University require Class 12 marks?
    A:

While minimum Class 12 are required, DU admissions are not based on a candidate's Class 12 performance. Instead, CUET UG score is the main selection criteria at DU. The higher CUET score, the better chances at top DU colleges. Hence, applicants have to meet the minimum eligibility of 40%-60% depending on the programme.

Q:   Do I need 60% in Class 12 to get admission in DU?
    2thumbs up
    A:

DU is considered one of the most competitive universities in India for Commerce, Science and Arts education at the undergraduate level. The university and its affiliated colleges was attracting the cream layer of crowd till the time admission was subject to Class 12 scores. While reserved category candidates still had minor chances of getting into a not-so-popular course of DU with 60% in Class 12, a General category student with 60% had no chance of getting into any good college or course at DU.

However, starting 2022, DU admission process has shifted to CUET-UG based admission process. Those with a valid score in CUET UG exam who have passed their Class 12 are eligible to take admission now. While the chances of getting into a good DU college are still low at this score, the chances of getting a seat have increased now (provided you score extremely well in CUET UG).

SRCC in the GBO course offers amazing ROI, a strong brand name, and excellent faculty.
Placements: We do have 100 percent placements. Most of the batch gets placed with a package that ranges from 10-15 LPA. The average package offered is around 12.5 LPA, and the highest package offered is 32 LPA for the year 2025. The best companies that visit our campus are Mercer, Amex, Shell, Moody's, Accenture, etc. Everyone gets placed for SIP as well. We get roles of finance, analytics, marketing, HR, and operations.
Infrastructure: The campus is very beautiful and aesthetic. The iconic clock tower of SRCC is famous all over India. There are ACs in every room. Wi-Fi works fine, and the sports complex has a good gym, badminton courts, basketball court, and even a room for table tennis. The mess needs a lot of improvement.
Faculty: Teachers are the best thing about SRCC for GBO. Industry experts are teaching us. For example, marketing is taught by the ex ceo of India. Our teachers are also graduates from top B-Schools like FMS, IIM C, IIM L, etc. The course curriculum is a little bit outdated, but the faculty members make up for it. They teach us according to the current industry standards. Exams are of a moderate level, and rarely do students fail here.
Other: The best thing about this course is the ROI. We get an average package that ranges from 12-13 LPA for just a fee of 3.2 LPA. Apart from this, the brand name of SRCC also plays a big role, as we have our alumni in the top roles in every sector. Campus life is obviously good on the north campus. There are fests every now and then.

My college is better than the other colleges in Delhi.
Placements: A student of Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi, I would like to share that the percentage of students placed every year in my course department was very high compared to other private colleges. The highest package was about 10 LPA in my course.
Infrastructure: A student of Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi, I would like to share that the facilities and infrastructure available in my course department were very helpful, like Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth speaker, etc. They were quite good according to the feedback taken from the students.
Faculty: A student of Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi. I like the share that the teacher and faculty of my course department were very helpful, qualified, and have experience in my course for at least 10 years. The semester examination was not that difficult.

Decent academy support with good campus but needs more practical exposure.
Placements: Around 60 -70% of students from the PGD-GBO. Courses were placed. The highest package offered was around 6 LPA, the lowest around 2 LPA, and the average was about 3.5 LPA. Top recruiters included NGOs, media houses, and educational firms. Around 50% of students got internships in companies like Teach for India, Times Group, and local startups. Common roles included content writers, research assistant, and HR trainee.
Infrastructure: The college provides good facilities for our department, including SMART classrooms, fast Wi-Fi, and well-equipped computer labs. The library is quiet and stocked with useful study material. Hostels are clean and have basic amenities. The food in the mess is average, while the canteen offers better variety. Medical help is available on campus with a health center. Sports facilities like a playground, indoor games provided to encourage student recreation. Overall, the infrastructure is decent and supports both academics and student life well.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified, supportive, and knowledgeable in their subjects. The teaching quality is good, with practical examples and regular doubt-solving sessions. The course curriculum is up-to-date and industry-relevant, which helps in preparing students for real-world challenges. Semester exams are moderate difficult but manageable with regular study. The pass percentage is decent, with most students clearing their exams on time.
Other: Any other information that would you like to share*? I chose the pgd-gbo. Course for its broad subject options and scope for learning. The best part is the supportive faculty and flexible curriculum. I wish there were more practical activities. The campus crowd is friendly, events are lively, and the college is well-connected. Scholarships are also available.
