Q:   Do I need 60% in Class 12 to get admission in DU?
    A:

DU is considered one of the most competitive universities in India for Commerce, Science and Arts education at the undergraduate level. The university and its affiliated colleges was attracting the cream layer of crowd till the time admission was subject to Class 12 scores. While reserved category candidates still had minor chances of getting into a not-so-popular course of DU with 60% in Class 12, a General category student with 60% had no chance of getting into any good college or course at DU.

However, starting 2022, DU admission process has shifted to CUET-UG based admission process. Those with a valid score in CUET UG exam who have passed their Class 12 are eligible to take admission now. While the chances of getting into a good DU college are still low at this score, the chances of getting a seat have increased now (provided you score extremely well in CUET UG).

Q:   Can I get admission in Delhi University without CUET?
    A:

CUET UG is compulsory for admission in the affiliated colleges of University of Delhi for UG courses. Delhi University introduced admissions through CUET scores in 2024 for candidates who seek admission. Candidates will not be granted admission on the basis of merit of class 12th. However, there are some specific percentage criteria needed to appear for the CUET exam for class 12th candidates which is given below:

    • Students must have passed Class 12 or appeared in Class 12 from a recognized board in any stream to take admission to bachelor’s degree programmes in the central, state, private or deemed universities.
    • For the General category, the candidate needs to secure a minimum of 50% in Class 12; for SC/ST, candidates must have secured a minimum of 45% in Class 12 to be eligible for the CUET 2025. For BTch programmes, the minimum aggregate for the General category candidates is 45%, and that of the reserved category candidates is 40%.

Morever, candidates who wish to apply for Delhi University must have a valid score in CUET. Undergraduate courses including BCom, BTech, BA, BSc and more are offered by the affiliated colleges. Candidates can check the entire list of UG courses by clicking here. Also, to know the detailed analysis for Delhi University, stay tuned to this page

Q:   How will I be allocated a seat at DU via the CSAS allocation (CUET UG counselling process)?
    3thumbs up
    A:

For seat allocation at DU, students are required to lock their college and course preferences after the result is out. Delhi University will consider normalised scores provided by NTA to calculate the merit scores as per programme specific eligibility. The highest possible preference will be provisionally allocated to the candidates considering the following
    criteria:

    • Program-Specific merit
    • Category of the students (UR/ OBC-NCL/ SC/ ST/ EWS/ Minority)
    • Availability of seats
    • Any other allocation rules, policies, or criteria citied by (CSAS (UG)- 2025) or University of Delhi

Amar Jyoti Institute of Physiotherapy is good and prestigious institution for students.
Placements: To be honest, Amar Jyoti Institute of Physiotherapy does not provide any placements on its own. However, it is a highly prestigious institute to pursue a Bachelor's in Physiotherapy and has high recommendations for the students, who completed their Bachelor's from Amar Jyoti Institute of Physiotherapy. So, placement is not an issue after completion of a Bachelor's from Amar Jyoti.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not top-notch, and there is only one building in the name of the college or infrastructure. That one building is fully equipped for students seeking for perfect Bachelor's and Master's degrees, as there are 3 OPDs running on every floor. Classrooms are not so bad, not like a college, but it is like an institute or coaching center. There is no hostel facility for students, although there are many PGs you can find near the college.
Faculty: Faculty at the college are the best, as they are very supportive, knowledgeable, and very friendly in nature, and knowledgeable. Students seeking knowledge and doubts can visit them anytime in the staff room. Course curriculum includes everything to make a student a good physiotherapist. You go to college OPDs and other hospitals to visit and see the different conditions of patients and to learn how to treat them effectively. There is nothing like a semester system, you have to take two terminal exams every year and one annual exam. You have to score 50% in annual exams to pass.
Other: I wanted to be a medical professional and I dropped out two years after school, but unfortunately, I did not crack NEET. So, I took the entrance exam at the Amar Jyoti Institute of Physiotherapy, where I got Rank 19, and then I decided to pursue my Bachelor's in Physiotherapy at the same college. One thing that should be improved in this course is the pay scale, after a Bachelor's in Physiotherapy, you get a job of Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 28,000 per month, which is not a genuinely good amount for a physiotherapist as are very hardworking. They spend around 45 minutes on every patient.

Review of Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya National Institute for Persons with Physical Disabilities.
Placements: Hello. I have taken admission in this college this year. I am a BPT first-year student. There are a total of 120 students in my class. In my college, OT placements are really good in comparison to PT. This information is mainly given by seniors. I will inform you of the rest when I start my internship. The internship duration is 6 months. But ward duty starts from the 3rd year onwards. This college is one of the top colleges in India. The campus is really small, but the metro and bus stop are nearby, so it's convenient.
Infrastructure: Our class has a projector, and a speaker. So, we study from PPTs. Anatomy is sometimes taught practically when the bone study is ongoing. Every bench is provided one bone for practice. Students can even issue bones through the anatomy lab and sit and study there.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful. They guide students very well. The course curriculum is really relevant. I haven't giaven the exams yet, but I have heard they are a bit tough. You need to maintain 75% attendance to attend the exam because it is compulsory.
Other: This is the best college in India, and it is under the central government. Students will get a stipend during the internship. Only 4 events happen in our college. No fests are organised, but small events do take place, like Physiotherapy Day, etc.

If BPT is the only option and degree matters to you, you can join. But infrastructure is not good.
Placements: There are very few placements. Good internship and exposure to industry. Mainly, students go to start their clinics or higher studies. Placements are given in hospitals. Also, they provide you with an internship; you have to pay for it. Packages given are mostly around $20,000–$25,000 per month.
Infrastructure: No hostel facility is available. The course structure is good. The first year is very tough as compared to other years. The course structure is more practical. The infrastructure is very good. Not even a playground. The canteen is very small, not a playground, and a school is also attached to it. No AC rooms are available.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. First-year classes will be held both ucms and ajipt. Faculty are highly qualified like MBBS MD MPT and some even have Ph.D. Finals exams are held at the end of the year. Most teachers make sure you understand things. But the attendance issue makes you upset.
Other: The crowd is good. You can enjoy your life and college life. But there are no areas to explore in college.

A great college with good staff.
Placements: No placements are provided by the college. Students have to look for a job on their own. However, the college send us to various hospitals for experience and practice. You can get placed in those hospitals if you make good connections. Clinical postings for 3rd and final year students are organised for 6 months. Once you have completed your 4th year, you need to complete 6 months of training period at any hospital (usually the college provides the internship). .
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is not that good. There are very few classrooms with only 2 laboratories. There is one canteen serving average quality food. The basketball court is the only limelight of this college. Apart from this, there is one library where you can find all the books related to the course.
Faculty: One of the best thing about this college is its faculty. Teachers are very helpful and are always ready to clear your doubts. Annual exams are held in the month of June and July. One needs to score 50% to pass the examination. Scoring 70% is very tough. Apart from this college conducts internal examinations which are also very tough to pass.
Other: Always wanted to work in the medical field thus, chose this profession. The infrastructure of the college is not that great but the knowledge that I have gained here is remarkable.

Good for academics, campus is pretty small.
Placements: The college doesn't provide any placements. You have to look for a job on your own. However, the college provides you with clinical postings in your 3rd and 4th year which gives you a good clinical knowledge and prepares you for the future. After your final year, the college also provides you with 6 months internship at reputed hospitals.
Infrastructure: The college isn't that good when it comes to infrastructure. Only 4 classrooms with 1 library and 2 labs (one ortho lab and one neuro lab). The college shares 1 basketball court with Amarjyoti School which is a school for specially able children. However, the course and the faculty is pretty good.
Faculty: The college takes in only 30 students every year. You need to clear an entrance examination which is conducted by the college. There are 6 seats reserved for NRI quota but the fees is more. Apart from this, the university of Delhi conducts yearly examination and 50% is the pass percentage. Scoring more than 70% is a tough task.

It is a good college to study in.
Placements: Our college does not provide placements to students but it provides a compulsory 6 months internship. Students can get placed based on their skills and performance during the internship. Internships are provided in hospitals like IHBAS, RML, Apollo, Max hospital, and some others. It has a charitable trust and a small hospital therefore many students get placed. Around 4 to 5 of our seniors are working there.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not big. Labs are available to provide clinical exposure to students. Classrooms are small but clean. Basketball, volleyball, and table tennis are available. Hostel is not available. Food served in the canteen is average but many varieties are not served. Library is available in our college.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are great and experienced in their field. The course curriculum helps students to become good physiotherapists. Semester exams are tough. Students have to study with some effort to pass because the pass percentage is 50%. Students have to study many subjects. Practical exams and viva are conducted apart from theory exams.
Other: I chose this course because physiotherapy is a growing branch of the medical field. Physiotherapists help people to walk, work, and live properly. The value of this course is increasing regularly. Our campus is small but comfortable and silent. It is close to the metro and bus. Atmosphere of our college is very good. Some scholarships are provided to students based on academic performance but all of them start after the first year.
