Honest review of the BCA course at DIT University, Dehradun.

Placements: I am from the BCA batch at DIT University, Dehradun. In our course, around 70-80 percent of students got placed. The highest package offered ranges from 10-12 LPA. The average package ranges between 3-5 LPA. The lowest package ranges from 2-3 LPA. Many well-known companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, HCL, and Deloitte visit the college for placements.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure for the course is good. The campus has full Wi-Fi. It has well-equipped computer labs, smart classrooms, and a large library with digital resources. The hostel facilities are decent and safe. The mess food is average but manageable. The canteen offers a greater variety of food. Medical facilities are available on campus. Sports grounds and indoor games are also provided. Overall, the infrastructure supports the sports academy and students' lives.

Faculty: Teachers in the BCA department are helpful, qualified, and supportive. They teach in a simple manner. They explain well and are approachable for doubts. The course curriculum is updated and includes programming, data structure, database, and web development, which makes students industry-ready. If we practice regularly, then semester exams are moderately difficult. Many students pass easily with consistent study, so the pass percentage remains high.

Other: I chose this course because I am interested in computer coding and its career opportunities. The best thing about the course is the practical approach, lab sessions, and supportive faculty. However, placements depend a lot on individual skills, so students need to work hard on coding and projects.

Everything in DIT is good.

Placements: About 30% of students get placed in our course. The highest salary package offered is 50 LPA. Infosys is the top recruiting company of our course. Only 20% of students got internships. When it comes to offering jobs or internships, our college is not that bad. It offers jobs to students who are really deserving. But I think according to the popularity of the college, they do not provide as much as they can.

Infrastructure: Labs are good but sometimes there are issues. Classrooms of some buildings are small. The Wi-Fi connection is good. The library is okay. Our college is located in a very good location. It has a good library. It is very peaceful for students to study or discuss. The food in the canteen is good. Medical facilities are also good.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and easy to approach. All the teachers are highly knowledgeable. The pass percentage is 30%. Semester exams are quite difficult and okay. They are not easy. Students need to study for the exams well to pass and get good CGPA.

Other: Fests are amazing. The best thing about my course is that we do not have much pressure and we get to learn new skills.

A comprehensive review of DIT University, Dehradun.

Placements: Around 95% of students got placed in 2022, with the School of Computing having a 96% placement rate. The highest salary package offered is 67.62 LPA, and the average salary package offered is around 5.5 LPA-6.2 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. Recruiting companies are Amazon, Cognizant, Infosys, Wipro, Axis Bank, and IBM.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are modern with smartboard projectors and good Wi-Fi. Labs are well-maintained with up-to-date equipment for practical learning. Library has large collections of books and online resources. Wi-Fi is available all over the campus for students and staff.

Faculty: Teachers are qualified and experienced. They are helpful and support students learning. Few teachers may be average but most are good at teaching. Semester exams can be tough but can be managed if we study regularly. Pass percentage varies by course.

Other: Medical facilities on campus are available and we also have a hospital near by. Events are held in the auditorium, and there is a cafeteria offering clean food options. College includes a gym and outdoor sports facilities for students.

Placements: Placements are average in DIT. The highest salary package offered for BCA is 8 LPA. The average salary package offered is around 4 LPA - 6 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA. HCL, Infosys, and Wipro hire students in DIT. If students' communication is good, then the chances of their jobs are higher.

DITU has good faculty and security

Placements: Internship and placement offers are available every semester at DITU. Companies like Infosys, HCL, Wipro, TCS, etc., hire students for jobs. Placements are good in DITU. If students have skills and their communication skills are good, companies easily hire them.

Infrastructure: The hostel is available. There is a separate hostel for boys and girls. The security is also good, and it is safe for students. Outdoor activities are also available in the hostel. The food of the hostel is also good. Free Wi-Fi is provided in the hostel, labs, and libraries.

Faculty: Our teachers are very helpful. They help students with their problems. They help them in their free time. They also provide notes regularly. Exams are easy in the BCA course, subjects like maths, digital electronics, and programming are in the first year. It is easy to score good marks in these subjects.

Other: The campus life at DITU is awesome and contains many activities to do. Students do not get bored any day. There are many clubs for extracurricular activities. Transport facilities are also good.

Placements: The placement percentage of DIT College is average. For B.Tech, most companies hire students with an average salary of 6 lacs per annum, and for BCA, fewer companies visit, with an average salary of 3 lacs per annum. However, if you have coding skills, you can be hired by the best companies with a salary of 8 lacs per annum.

Infrastructure: DIT's infrastructure is good. Hostels are well-maintained, and security is also good. Wi-Fi is available in the hostels, throughout the campus, and in the libraries. The food in the hostel and canteen is also good. The college provides medical facilities and has sports, dance, and music clubs, along with a management team.

DIT - The University of innovation and technology.

Placements: Currently, I am pursuing a BCA at DIT University. The average percentage of students who get placed at the IT university is 72.8%. The highest package last year in BCA was 48 lacs, the average package was 5.5 lacs, and the lowest package was 3.8 lacs. The top recruiting companies were Ola, Google, Microsoft, and Oracle. At DIT University, they try to provide an internship from the first year of college to all the students. Mainly everyone got recruited as a junior software engineer after pursuing a BCA.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of DIT University is very good and modern. We have every sort of facility, like Wi-Fi, labs, and sports, and have a very big campus, but the food quality of the DIT hostel mess is very bad, and we have very few options on the food menu. They only provide veg meals; non-veg meals are not allowed at DIT University. If you have to eat non-veg, you have to go to a cafe.

Faculty: The teachers of DIT University are well-qualified and have good knowledge. They use the latest methods to teach in the classroom and try their best so that everyone is able to understand each and every topic. The semester exams are not very difficult; it all depends on your hard work, but if you concentrate on the topics that are given by the teachers during the lectures, you can easily be able to pass the exam with a good score.

Other: As I am a student from a commerce background, the only option I had left to go into an engineering or science field was by pursuing a BCA. The best thing about this course is it focuses more on skills as compared to a B.Tech. The things that need to be improved are that in some subjects, they are focusing on teaching us programming languages that were used in the 90s and are not useful in the 21st century, which is a waste of time. If you talk about events and fests, DIT University is not the best option for that. Dehradun has better universities for this. DIT University does not host many events and fests.
