The university shortlists candidates based on their merit or entrance exam scores. DIT University Dehradun also conducts DUET for shortlisting aspirants for MPharm, M.Tech and PhD courses. DIT University BTech is a four-year course divided into eight semesters at the UG level. The UG-level course is offered across different specialisations. The university admits candidates to the BTech courses based on JEE scores/merit in Class 12.Some of the specialisations in which the course is offered are Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology,  Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc. The university also offers lateral entry to BTech courses.
