Yes, Gauhati University offers a two-year MBA programme across four specialisations, namely Marketing, Finance, HR, Production. Spread over four semesters, admissions to MBA at GU starts in the month of March and the final shortlist is released in the months of May-June. The course is inclusive of a 60-day internship/ in-plant training for them to learn the basics of solving real life problems in business/ industrial organisations. The programme is under full sponsorship of UGC and is recognised by AICTE. Admission to MBA is completely entrance-based. The university conducts its own entrance exam for admission to MBA. However, those with a valid score in the national-level entrance exams are exempted from the university-level tests and are forwarded directly for other selection rounds. As per the data collated from the official website, Gauhati University MBA admission is completely entrance-based. Students seeking admission must are either required to go through the university-level entrance test followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds or those with a valid score (75 percentile and above) in national-level entrances, such as MAT, CAT, XAT, CMAT can directly appear for GD and PI rounds for final admission. As per the official 2022 brochure released by Guwahati University, admission to BTech is completely entrance-based. While 20% of the total seats for BTech are reserved for students who have passed the JEE Main exam (provided that have the official PRC of the state), the remaining 80% of the seats are filled via the pass out students of Assam CEE. Furthermore, students also have an option to secure lateral entry admission directly to the second year of the BTech course. Admission to BTech Lateral Entry courses is subject to a valid score in JLEE Assam exam.
Gauhati University LLM admission is completely entrance and merit based. While students must have completed/ be pursuing (final year) their UG degree in the field of Law, final subject to a university-level entrance exam conducted by GU. For the 2022 academic year, the admission process for LLM at Guwahati University started in November with the opening of applications and the entrance for the same was conducted in December. However, due to the normal study cycle that has rolled back in 2023 for Class 12 and higher education courses after 2 COVID-impacted years, it is expected that the 2023 admissions will start comparatively early for LLM at Gauhati University.

Yes, Gauhati University offers a two-year LLM programme in the field of Law. Offered via six affiliated colleges under Gauhati University, admission to LLM is subject to a university-level entrance exam. On the basis of the scores obtained in the GU-conducted LLM entrance exam, a merit list is prepared with the names of the selected candidates. A list of the Gauhati University affiliated colleges which offer LLM programme include BRM Government Law College, Dhubri Law College, Dispur Law College, JB Law College, NEF Law College and Tezpur Law College.

Yes, as BSc admission takes place through the score and rank secured in CUET entrance exam, the candidate has to apply for the exam to gain admission into the programme. Gauhati University does not accept or conduct any other exam for admission into the BSc programme. In addition to that, candidates should also have a minimum aggregate of 40% in their Class 12 to be eligible for admission into the Gauhati University BSc programme.
