GITAM Vishakhapatnam BPharm admission start after GITAM GAT and NEET-UG exams are conducted. Candidates who want to apply for admission at the university can apply after for these entrance exams. A valid score in either of the entrance exam is necessary for admission into the programme, once the candidates have applied they are provided with provisional admission at the university. Candidates have to pay some amount of the tuition fees to finalise their admission.

UG level GITAM University Vizag courses include the BTech, BSc, and several other courses out of which, BTech is the most popular course. At the PG level, GITAM Vizag offers MSc, MBA, and other courses to students. In addition to the aforementioned courses, GITAM University, Vizag also provides courses at the certificate and PhD levels across multiple specialisations.

For M.Tech admissions, candidates need to clear their undergraduate course with a minimum aggregate of 50% in the accepted fields. The minimum duration of the GITAM School of Technology, MTech course is two years.

GITAM School of Business Visakhapatnam cutoff will be out only after MAT results are declared. GITAM School of Business Visakhapatnam cutoffs are released for admission to MBA course based on MAT Scores. Candidates who meet the MAT 2025 cut off are considered for the next round of MBA admissions. Candidates must note that MAT exam is conducted in multiple sessions in four phases – February, May, September and December. The September phase has already been concluded. GITAM University Hyderabad admissions is entrance-based. Candidates are required to fulfil the eligibility criteria and clear the entrance exam for admisison. To get admission at GITAM Visakhapatnam, candidates should have completed their last qualification from a recognised institution with at least the aggregate set by the university as the minimum eligibility. However, admission to all the courses is entrance exam-based. Candidates need to appear for GITAM Admission Test (GAT) followed by a personal interview conducted by the university. Only if they clear GAT, they can get admission to the university. The candidates can also apply for admission in case they have a valid score in any other entrance exam accepted by the university.

MBA admission based Karnataka PGCET exam is done for full-time and part-time programmes. Karnataka PGCET eligibility criteria for MBA admission is as follows.

Karnataka PGCET Eligibility Criteria for Full-Time MBA

• Candidates must pass a three-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognised institute.
• Qualifying marks in the bachelor’s degree examination is specified below based on the social category of the candidate
• Unreserved Candidates: 50% aggregate marks
• SC, ST and Category-I of Karnataka Candidates: 45% aggregate marks

Karnataka PGCET Eligibility Criteria for Part-Time MBA

• In addition to the Karnataka PGCET eligibility for a full-time MBA course, candidates must have a work experience of not less than three years as of the year 2025.
• The establishment or the workplace of the candidate must be within 40 KM radial distance from the institution he/she is seeking admission in.

Karnataka PGCET Eligibility Criteria for Government Seats

Candidates should have studied and passed from a government-recognised educational institution located in Karnataka for a minimum period of seven academic years commencing from 1st standard continuously or in broken period and must have passed class 10th or class 12th from a government-recognised institution located in Karnataka.

OR

The candidate should have passed the qualifying examination from Karnataka. In addition, either of the parents must have studied for a period of seven years in Karnataka

OR

Children of ex-servicemen who had declared a place in Karnataka as their home town at the time of joining the defence services. In addition, such candidates should have passed the qualifying exam from a University or Board located anywhere in India.
