Boys-to-girls ratio is 2:1, and it's very good.
Placements: Placements here are great. The highest package goes around 55 LPA-60 LPA on-campus and off-campus, and it even goes in crores. GJUST placements are great with Apple, Goldman Sachs, BlackRock, etc., approach students from this college. Students get internships in many companies.
Infrastructure: Hostel fee for my current hostel is Rs. 54,500 with mess fees around Rs. 27,000, so my total accommodation fee is around Rs. 80,000-Rs. 85,000, so it's pretty much affordable considering the amount of facilities present inside the hostel. AC and the night canteen make it easy.
Faculty: Must say the frequency of exams is high. We have exams every 1.5 months, but Thapar makes it easy to give exams by dividing into practical exams and written ones, so there is not a big problem in preparing for them. The faculty inside Thapar is great. They are all experienced and talented professors. Every one of them is a great teacher. Faculty-to-student ratio must be around 1:20, which is pretty amazing. Considering Thapar's good reputation, it makes it easy for a students to find internships.
Other: My overall experience at Thapar is the best I could imagine. There is no problem at all. There are many societies in Thapar that we could join, which keep us engaged. There are facilities for all the sports.

An unbiased detailed review of GJUS&T.
Placements: This course is newly added to the university so no previous placement records. As it's a new course so no placements but expect about 3 to 5 LPA as per the university's package. One can prepare either for electronics or for computers as that can grab your placement. Some internships are provided by the department itself and you can also get as per your network. After completing this course one can either work in an electronic or computer-related company.
Infrastructure: The class facilities are quite nice, with a lecture hall that can accommodate approximately 70 students. The classrooms are airy, neat, and clean. The hostel is also satisfactory, with rooms that are a good size. The quality of the food in the mess is slightly above average. Medical facilities are available 24/7, and there are provisions for sports and games as well. A dedicated sports complex and a gym that caters to all are also part of the amenities.
Faculty: Most teachers are helpful here, some are not but it's alright you can find your way. They are very qualified, experienced, and knowledgeable, teaching quality is nice and understandable. The course curriculum is also relevant and can make students industry-ready. Semester exams are okayish and need to put a little more effort to ace the exams with good marks.
Other: I was interested in pursuing a computer-related field, but I wasn't able to get into that program, so I chose this one instead. It’s a new course, which also attracted me. Increasing hands-on practice would be a great way to enhance the course further. There are many cultural events organized, including a teach fest held by the department this year. GJUST is located in a vibrant city, and there are numerous scholarship opportunities available, such as the PMS scholarship for SC and OBC students. The university also offers scholarships for students in need.

Placements: The placements are even less than what we call decent here. You cant expect more from the on campus placements from this college. They roam around 3 to 4 LPA as the average package. Of course, it depends on the crowd as well, but still, there are very few packages offered here.
Infrastructure: The hostels of the university are in a way like, like you get a hostel in just 1st year, after that, there will be no hostels facility for students and still the hostels are not that good. 4 to5 students live in a single room and it becomes impossible for someone to study.
Faculty: The faculty of this college is pretty decent, like the same as you find everywhere, nothing special, nothing important. The curriculum is just the plain old one followed by most of the colleges in India and the exam pattern is what you can see on the college website.
