IPU MBBS Eligibility & Highlights 2025
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University offers a full-time MBBS programme of five-and-a-half-year duration which comprises one year of compulsory internship. All candidates interested in seeking MBBS admission at IPU need to possess a valid NEET UG score. The final seat allotment process is conducted via IPU CET Counselling. The maximum age limit to apply for MBBS admission is 25 years as of December 31 of the admission year, while the minimum age criteria is 17 years. (a relaxation of five years is granted to SC/ ST candidates). The total fee for MBBS programme is INR 24.64 lakh for 66 months. Yes, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University conducts a Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to BSc, BCA, BCom (Hons), B.Ed, BA (JMC), BHMCT, BBA, BA (Hons), BVoc, BPT, BPO, BOT, BASLP, BSc MLT, MSc, MA, MEd, MPT, MOT and MPO courses. No, GGSIPU doesn't offer direct admission. IP University does not allow any of the affiliated colleges/institutes/agencies to grant direct admission to any of the courses of the university.
GGSIPU admissions are open. A few more updates related to GGSIPU admissions are as follows:
- PhD admissions for winter session is open. The university will conduct the entrance test on Dec 22, 2025.
- The NEET UG Counselling 2025 has concluded, with the final seat allotment result of the stray vacancy round for admission to MBBS, BDS, and BSc (Nursing) courses.
- The CMAT 2026 exam is expected to be held in Jan 2026 for admission to the MBA, PGDM, and MMS courses.
- The CUET PG 2026 registration process for admission to PG courses is expected to begin in Jan 2026.
- The CUET UG 2026 registration window is expected to open in the first week of Mar 2026 for admission to UG courses.
- The NIMCET 2026 application form is anticipated to be available in April 2026 for admission to the MCA course.

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University's annual hostel cost is INR 29,500. Mess and welfare fees are not included in the hostel fees. The fee for the mess is INR 36,000, while the cost of the welfare is INR 3,000. Candidates need to submit three demand drafts: one for hostel fees, one for mess charges, and one for welfare charges. Two hostels are maintained on campus for male students, and two are maintained for female students. There are more than 180 single-seat rooms in each hostel. Basic furnishings such as a cot, mattress, pillow, chair, table, cupboard, tube lamp, and fan are provided in each room. Mess facilities are available for residents in each hostel. Residents also have access to a common area, a gym, a reading room, and sports facilities. For the hostels, there is a provision for 24-hour water and electrical services.

IPU MBBS Admission 2025: How to Apply?
The IP University application process is as given below. Those seeking admission can apply online by paying an application fee of INR 1,200. See the steps below to apply online:
- Visit website of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University at www.ipu.ac.in and click on the 'Admission' tab and further click on 'Online Admission Form' from the drag-down menu.
- Read the instructions carefully, accept the declaration and click on 'Start' to proceed with the registration step of the application process.
- Select MBBS from the programme drop-down menu and register with candidate's name, email ID and contact number. Further, click on 'Non-CET' courses because MBBS comes under the 'Non-CET' category courses.
- Candidates will receive an application sequence number, user ID and password for future logins and a link to the application form to proceed with further steps.
- In the first stage of the application form, enter personal details, such as name, parents' name, age, nationality, etc. Also, enter the present address information along with the permanent address.
- Fill in the essential qualification details, including the year of passing and the school/ institution attended.
- Upload the required set of documents and pay the prescribed application fee via debit card/ credit card/ net banking.

Yes, GGSIPU accepts CUET scores. For UG courses, CUET-UG and similarly for the PG courses, CUET-PG is applicable. However, it must be noted that preference is given to CUET scores after the respective national-level exams and the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the university. Some of the UG and PG programmes for which this entrance score is accepted are MCA, MA, BSc, BBA and allied programmes, BPharm, BCom (Hons), etc.
GGSIPU NEET Cutoff 2025 was released for admission to various affiliated colleges offering MBBS course to students. The NEET Cutoff 2025 was 132 for students belonging to the General AI category wanting admission at Vardhman Mahavir Medical College. GGSIPU is a government university. GGSIPU is a UGC approved university. Being a government university, the fee for various courses is not very high. The tuition fee for UG/ PG courses like BTech is INR 2.3L - INR 7.4L & M.Tech is INR 1.9 L - INR 2.8 L.

BTech tuition fees at GGSIPU is INR 7.6 Lacs for all BTech courses in the academic year 2026. However, candidates are also required to pay other fees in the form of university charges, alumni deposit, development and infrastructure fees and others on top of the aforementioned tuition fees.
