IPU BTech Seat Allotment 2026: Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University is expected to announce the IPU BTech 2026 seat allotment dates soon. For admissions into the BTech courses offered by the University, candidates will be selected based on their merit rank, preferences and seat availability. Official IPU BTech seat allotment dates 2026 will be released at ipu.admissions.nic.in. To check IPU seat allotment status, candidates will have to log in using their User ID and password. 

To be eligible for seat allotment, candidates should have registered for IPU CET 2026 counselling, Since IPU BTech admissions are done based on JEE Main scores, all related information had to be filled out during counselling. Candidates also had to upload required documents online for verification. For BTech Biotechnology and BTech Lateral Entry, scores obtained in IPU CET are accepted. How to check IPU BTech seat allotment 2026?

Candidates can follow steps given below to check their IPU BTech 2026 seat allotment result.

• Go to ipu.admissions.nic.in

• Click on seat allotment link.

• Candidates will have to provide their User ID and password.

• Click on ‘Sign In’

• Seat allotment status will be available online.

• Candidates will have to download and print out provisional allotment letter.

IPU BTech 2026 Seat Allotment: How are candidates selected for admission?

For IPU BTech admissions, no entrance examination is held. Candidates will be selected for admission based on their JEE Main scores. During IPU BTech counselling registration, they have to submit their JEE Main details and upload required documents. Based on their performance in JEE Mains, merit list for admission will be prepared.

What after IPU BTech seat allotment 2026?

Once seat allotment is announced, selected candidates will have to choose their preferred option. If they wish to confirm their admission and do not want to participate in next rounds of counselling, then they will have to freeze their seats. Candidates can choose the float option, if they wish to upgrade their allotment in the next round according to their filled choices. If they are allotted a higher choice in the next round, then they will be eligible to upgrade their seat.

Candidates who do not pay the part academic fee after IPU BTech 2026 seat allotment will not be disqualified from the counselling and admission process. To participate in the next round of counselling, candidates will be required to pay the part academic fee. 

IPU BTech 2026 Fee Payment

For confirmation of admission, candidates will have to pay part academic fee after IPU BTech 2026 seat allotment. They can pay the fee online, i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. After the fee is paid, the admission fee receipt can be immediately printed out.

IPU BTech 2026 Part Academic Fee: INR 96,000 or INR 60,000 (as applicable)

IPU BTech 2026 Spot Round

After the admission process is over, the authorities will conduct IPU BTech 2026 spot round counselling to fill vacant seats. To participate in spot round counselling, candidates will have to pay a registration fee of INR 500. For every round of spot counselling, the registration fee has to be paid separately. Only those vacant seats left after the reporting/admission process is completed will be open during the IPU BTech 2026 spot round.
