HNBGU Uttarakhand BTech admission criteria is entrance-based. The university prepares a merit list based on applicants' CUET scores. If the seats are left vacant, then merit list students of HNBGU counselling are selected based on JEE Main score. The course fee varies for the courses offered on campus and by the university-affiliated colleges. The total tuition fee for HNBGU BTech ranges between INR 67,000 and INR 88,000. HNBGU provides more than 700 undergraduate, graduate, certificate, and doctorate courses in 16 streams, 11 schools, 47 departments, and 2 centres (Agriculture and Allied Sciences, Commerce, Earth Science, Arts, Communication and Languages, and Law).

The median package provided during the HNBGU UG 4-year and PG 2-year placements in 2022 was INR 2.90 LPA and INR 5.20 LPA, respectively, according to the HNBGU overall NIRF report for 2023. Yes, now Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University will not be conducting an entrance exam separately. HNBGU admission to most of the undergraduate, postgraduate and integrated courses is now based on candidates' performance in the CUET entrance exam, conducted by NTA. Candidates with a valid CUET score are then required to go through an online counselling round conducted by HNBGU. 

The NTA has released the exam dates for the JEE Main 2026 Session 2. Paper 1 (BE/ BTech) will be administered between April 2, 2026 to April 9, 2026. The Session 2 registration will open in the last week of January. The applicants are requested to fill the application form available on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in.
