It is a very good university.

Placements: The placement percentage is very low. Only some students got placed in our college. Our college doesn't invite companies. The highest salary package offered ranges between 3 LPA - 6 LPA. There is scope for off-campus selection. Many CSE students got off-campus placements.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good but not well-developed. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Every department has its Wi-Fi. Our college has a well-developed laboratory for all types of experiments. The lab includes an Astro physics section and microbiology and plant biotechnology. Our college has an engineering workshop. The hostel facility is good and affordable.

Faculty: Our college has good professors. They are Ph.D. holders. They are highly experienced, supportive, and helpful. Some of them are working in their fields for more than 15 years. Exams are conducted regularly and these are highly difficult because all exam papers are set by the HOD of different departments. Students can pass all exams easily.

Other: I opted for this course because it is my dream course. I have passed the CUET exam and got enrolled in this college. Fests and seminars are conducted regularly in our college by different departments.

A tag of a central university which will increase your selection chances.

Placements: The university does not provide any placement to the students. They ask the students to fill a placement form which is attached in the admission form itself. Nobody is placed by the university and its all self dependence, as the university do not play any role .

Infrastructure: The hostel accommodation is provided by the university itself and it is done online as well as offline. We have to buy a hostel form and fill all the entries in that and then with suitable documents it is submitted to the chief warden who provides the hostel.

Faculty: Exams are conducted properly and extra sheets and writing facility is also available here. The faculty which is provided by the university is well qualified and all of them are Ph.D. scholars and the professors are assigned to teach the desired subject which includes lab works too.

Other: I study in the department of biotechnology which comes under the life sciences and its developing the scope of biotechnology has been increased since from the period of pandemic. But the degree itself provides a good amount of knowledge to the students.

Totally dissatisfied because of lack of proper classes .

Placements: Percentage of students placed is relatively less here although it is not nill. Some of the students are in good positions as we were told by the teachers. New elected student president did promise to improve the placement status of the college, which is much awaited.

Infrastructure: We have Wi-Fi facilities available here, labs are well-equipped, we have presentation hall and there is a library in the department. My hostel was 3 seater with 2 study-tables and one water filter and geyser. There's an ambulance facility and mess is relatively good.

Faculty: Almost every teacher is helpful, qualified and knowledgeable but don't really take much classes. According to me, curriculum is good but practical and laboratory works are not performed much. Semester exams are neither too easy nor too tough. Passing percentage is 50%.

Other: I chose this course because I was interested in the field of biotechnology. Yes, in India there are relatively less opportunities than abroad. I wish to have more professors and more classes in our course. I think there could be more improvement in the infrastructure and a study environment can be made here.

It's a pretty decent university but needs some more development.

Placements: Currently, there are no placements at this university, but the management is working on it. They have said that they will build a placement cell in a few years. Our teachers guide us but there is no placement cell which is a major disadvantage that can be overcome in a few years.

Infrastructure: The hostel is pretty good. We have our library and college Wi-Fi. The canteen is available. They give us bus facilities for going from one campus to another. It has a gym and a running track. Mess is also pretty decent. The infrastructure is good.

Faculty: Teachers are good and very helpful in both subject-related and life-related problems. They listen to our problems very well, but we have to do quite a lot of self-study because there are no regular classes. We have to study on our own. Exams are average.

Other: The campus conducts a lot of extracurricular activities. They conduct seminars, programs, and convocations. One thing I'd like to improve in our course is the increase in experiments because the handwork is quite low. Our college gives scholarships, but only to minority students. The overall environment is very good and peaceful.

Review of Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University.

Placements: Our college doesn't provide placement opportunities for our course. Companies won't visit our college to recruit students. Our seniors are working in reputed institutions like ICMR, ICAR, DBT, etc.

Infrastructure: Our college provides a separate building for biotechnology. Our department has many labs. Labs are average. Labs are not much professional. Classrooms are spacious. Wi-Fi facility is available in our department, and it provides separate access IDs for everyone.

Faculty: Our professors are highly qualified and humble. Our professors are Ph.D. holders. They have a very hectic schedule. They are not able to pay much attention but in case of any problem, they are always ready to resolve doubts. They are very professional. They are keen to deliver all the relevant information. There are no tours sponsored by the university. We never see the actual way of working in the industry. It is difficult to score marks in the semester exams unless you are brilliant enough to write all points. You have to present papers excellently. You have to maintain very good handwriting or else excessive marks will be deducted.

Our college is very good.

Placements: Our college doesn't provide placement opportunities. Top recruiting companies are Food Industries, Bioinformatics, etc. Many companies visit our college to recruit students.

Infrastructure: The hostel is good. The hostel facilities are average. Our department labs are good, but they have old instruments. The food served in the hostel is average. The fee structure of girls' hostel is less compared to boys' hostel.

Faculty: Our professors are good and knowledgeable. They are the best. They help students in every situation. They won't conduct our classes regularly. They have good teaching skills. Semester exams are difficult. Many students passed out with good grades.

Other: They should organise annual functions, concerts, fests, etc.

It has a peaceful environment and a reasonable fee for higher study but no placement assistance.

Placements: Our college does not provide placements. As there are limited admissions, i.e., merely 12, well-known companies don't visit our campus for placements. We have to do internships on our own. Professors are supportive. They help and guide us in the procedure of getting any internship.

Infrastructure: Almost all the needed facilities like Wi-Fi, stadium, playground, gym, library, labs, etc., are available except for the medical facility, which is a primary requirement. Hostels are situated on the campus only, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Wi-Fi facilities are available. Unfortunately, there is no standardisation about the quality of food served in the hostel mess.

Faculty: Professors in our college are qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is fine. But there is a dire need for new teachers for subjects like chemistry, etc. The course curriculum is relevant and well designed. It contains proper academic syllabus and follows a semester system, which facilitates a better understanding of the subjects.
