IKGPTU, formerly known as Punjab Technical University 25+ UG and PG level courses at the main campus. Students can pursue UG or PG-level programmes in 9+ streams. The department offers courses such as BTech, BArch, BBA, BCA, BA, etc. at UG-level and MTech, MSc, MBA, and MArch at PG level. Students can also join lateral entry courses such as BTech and BCA offered by the university. Students get to study an interactive curriculum with the practical implementation of the same.

IK Gujral University follows a fee refund policy in case of cancellation of admission. In case a student withdraws his/ her seat before the start of the course, his/ her total fee is
refunded after deduction of INR 1,000 only.
In case a student surrenders his/ her seat after the beginning of the course and before /on last date of admission to that course, he/she get fee with proportionate deduction of
total monthly fee (full fee including development and other charges) and proportionate total hostel rent (all charges).
In case a student withdraws his /her seat after the last date of admission to that course, he /she does not get any refund.

Candidates who have passed class 12 from a recognised board can apply for the BPharm regular course. For the BPharm Lateral course, applicants shall have a three-year Diploma in pharmacy from a recognised university or state board of technical education. Students who meet the eligibility requirements can submit their applications online. Admission to the courses is merit-based. Thus, candidates' scores in the last qualifying examination are taken into consideration.

Admission to the MBA programme is granted on the basis of scores obtained by the students in CMAT followed by centralized counselling. The students are allotted seats based on their rank, choice, and seat availability.
Candidates who have passed a three-year Diploma course in pharmacy from a recognised university or state board of technical education are eligible. Eligible students can submit their applications online. Direct admission to the course is merit-based. Hence, the student's scores in the last qualifying examination are taken into consideration.
IKGPTU Infrastructure
IKGPTU owns 78.16 acres of land and has 10+ campuses across the state. The university's main campus offers good infrastructure to the students. It offers well-furnished classrooms, labs, and library facilities to the students. Labs on the campus are fully air-conditioned. It also has an auditorium having a seating capacity of 800 seats.
It has a dedicated Centre of Invention, Innovation, Incubation and Training. The centre is a joint initiative of the university and Tata Technologies. It was started with the motive of improving innovation and increasing in quality of technical education. The centre contributes towards its long-term plan of offering skilled manpower to the industry and increasing the employability of the students. Students get to experience full industrial exposure as the machines available at the centres are high-end industrial machines.
IK Gujral Punjab Technical University has a computer centre that has served as an IT hub for the university and constituent campuses. It has a high-speed internet facility. It also offers e-campus facilities to the students by offering 24*7 open high-speed internet with uninterrupted connectivity. The centre also offers IT services to different government organisations as part of collaborations.
IKGPTU offers accommodation facilities to both boys and girls. The hostel facility offers a warm, welcoming, secure, and hygienic environment to the students. There are three boys' hostels and two hostels for girls' students at walking distance from the academic block within the campus. Girls' hostels have 152 rooms with an intake capacity of 188 students, and boys' hostel has 370 rooms with an intake capacity of 740 students. Accommodation is offered in single and double-seater rooms.

There are over 2000 seats for the BPharm course at the IK Gujral Punjab Technical University. The seat allotment procedure at the university is based on merit in the qualifying examination. Also, the seat count varies from one college to another. The CT Group of Institutions has the highest number of seat intake, i.e., 210. It must also be noted that the mentioned seat intake is as per the official website/sanctioning body. It is subject to changes and hence, is indicative.
There is only PG which is available nearer to this university in which the college staffs stays, it is not for girls, generally most of students stay in the college hostel because it has very less hostel fee. Also in kapurthala which is nearly 4-5kms from the university, there are two-three PGs available which is better to stay. But no one from our college lives there, if some one don't want to stay in hostel either they are local or they take a flat/apartment.
