NIRF 2025 Rankings are out. As per the latest NIRF 2025 rankings, Indraprastha IIT Delhi ranks #63 under the category 'Engineering'.
The UCEED 2026 results have been announced for admission to the BDes course. The counselling is scheduled to begin on Apr 21, 2026.
A few more updates are given below:
- The JAC Delhi 2026 counselling registration window for admission to the BTech course will tentatively open in May 2026.
- PG Diploma in Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence (Online mode) admissions are open. Candidates can apply for the course through the official institute's website.
- The GATE 2026 result has been published for admission to ME/MTech/PhD programmes. The GATE 2026 counselling for round 1 is expected to start from May 11, 2026.

Admission to the IIIT Delhi PhD programmes is merit and entrance-based. Shortlisted candidates have to go through an interview round for final selection. The accepted entrance exams are GATE/ UGC NET/CSIR NET. Based on the candidates' scores in the accepted exam, the candidates are shortlisted. For some of the PhD programmes, aspirants are shortlisted for the interview based on aggregate in the last qualifying examination.
In 2024, the cutoff ranks for BTech in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics at IIIT Delhi other than General category was - 23566 for OBC, 94128 for SC, 103550 for ST, and 13240 for EWS. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. No, you can't take admission in M.Tech at IIIT Delhi without appearing for the GATE exam. The institute offers this two-year full-time programme at the postgraduate level. Yes, admission to a MTech course is IIIT Delhi is accepted without GATE score. However, it depends upon the chosen specialisation. GATE score is mandatory for the MTech CB course admission. However, admission to MTech CSE and ECE programmes is done based on merit in GATE, plus PGCAT-IIITD exam scores are also accepted. Yes, the institute offers two PG Diploma courses. It offers a nine-month long Diploma course in Data Science & AI (DS & AI) programme with IBM and 12-month long Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence (CS & AI) Diploma with Great Learning.
