After filling out the application form, students are shortlisted based on GATE/ CSIR NET/ CEED/ UGC NET/ Entrance Exam score. The shortlisted candidates are then further called for a personal interview round. 

GATE is one of the entrance exams for PhD admission. However, aspirants can also get admission in PhD based on CSIR NET/ CEED/ UGC NET or written test conducted by the institute.
