Extremely good college with all facilities.
Placements: Most of the people prefer core and non-teach jobs, teach jobs are minimal. On-campus placements are somewhat like 50 percent, others get from off-campus. Last year, a student got a teach job of 32 LPA, he had 9+ CGPA. Most of the tech companies don't even allow this branch.
Infrastructure: Some labs are very advanced and have almost all facilities and apparatus, but some even lack basic facilities like fans, and some have broken and outdated apparatus. Talking about hostel, they are good enough. Food is not too good, but it is good enough and healthy.
Faculty: Teachers are very experienced, but some of them are too old for teaching. They often teach by conventional methods, which students feel difficult to understand. Other teachers are very good, they are motivated and also motivate students to learn well. They teach well, provide notes, and assignments too.
Other: Fests are widespread; each semester has almost 3-4 fests with excellent artist lineups. College provides scholarships to poor students. Campus has a large sports complex.

My college, let's see what it looks like.
Placements: Production and industrial engineering is a very versatile branch. You can go into core, non-tech, and few tech companies from this branch. From last 4 year, its average package is increasing constantly than other branches. The highest package in 2024 was around 31 LPA with an average package of 12.32 LPA. Placement percentage was around 70% which is the highest in mechanical department. Top recruiters are Brain and Co, American Express, and Accenture. Internships by students are very less due to high competition in college. The internship percentage is around 5%-10%. Top roles offered are consultant and business analyst.
Infrastructure: Our college has one of the best infrastructure in Delhi. It is equipped with the best labs and classrooms. Hostels too are good and well-maintained with good mess where you can eat at a very affordable price.
Faculty: Faculty members are very knowledgeable and master of their subjects. Teaching quality depends from professor to professor but that does not mean they are competent in their subjects. Course curriculum is well structured and updated to the industry standard. It has a minor program as well. You can do any field you want. Semester exams are of moderate level and the passing percentage is more than 90%.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest and its brand value in the market. Its infrastructure and surroundings are one of the best in India. Classrooms can be more comfortable.

DTU is one of the best college with good infrastructure and good placement.
Placements: The placements in my branch are very good. The highest package is more than 30 LPA and the average package is 12-14 LPA. Top companies that visit our branch are Goldman Sachs and McKinsey. More than 60% of students get placement. Roles offered in our course are Consultant, Analyst, and Business Development. These types of roles are offered in our course.
Infrastructure: The facilities of our course are very good. Labs are well-maintained and proper instruments are also provided. Library is also well-maintained and proper books are also arranged. Wi-Fi connection is also provided across the campus. Infrastructure of the hostels is also good. Mess food is also good and provided 4 times a day. Infrastructure is also good like the sports complex, health center, and OAT (open-air theater). Best food courts are available such as Nescafe, KitKat, Domino’s, Amul, and Raj Soin.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and they try to solve all the doubts of the students. They are well-qualified and have good knowledge. Their teaching quality is very good. They try their best that every student achieve their goals and get success in their life. The difficulty level of semester exams is above average. In the last semester, the passing criteria is 35 out of 100, but now we have to get 35% in theory and also in practical respectively.

Good faculty members, average placements for production branch, good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Around 32.86% of students were placed in 2024 from the production branch. The highest salary package offered for 2024 was 31 LPA. The lowest salary pacakge offered is 6 LPA. The average salary package offered is 12.32 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Adobe, Amazon, Google, etc. Around 5% of students got internships in 1st year till now. We can definitely go for mechanical jobs in Maruti and other automotive companies.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of DTU is good. All classes are air-conditioned. Our campus is very lush green. Library is also pretty big, labs are good with all machinery needed. Wi-Fi is available in almost all the places we go on campus mainly near buildings. Some hostels are pretty average but some are good too. Wi-Fi is available in hostels. Food quality and taste in mess and canteen is also pretty good. I would say above average. Medical facility is good too and it is near the hostels so no worries. Sports complex is massive too.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified at DTU. But the thing is that in first year some teachers are scholars who teach us. Most teachers have their own books. Course curriculum is semi-relevant I would say. It makes students industry ready but we need to put some efforts from our side too. Semester exams are not that difficult but average. Pass percentage is like 75-80%.
Other: I chose this course because thats all I could get from my rank. In production engineering, we have 80% mechanical engineering and 20% in management subjects. Fests are the only thing about DTU that we cannot complain about. Fests are massive. There are plenty of societies, we can join if we are interested.

Infrastructure, Fest, College Life is up to Mark.
Placements: Almost 50% of students are placed. The lowest was 6 LPA, the average is 10 LPA, and the highest was 17 LPA. There is no official data for internships. Top companies are Goldman Sachs, McKinsey. Top roles are Consultant, Analyst, and Business Development roles. Overall, placements are decent according to the health of the corporate sector.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are genuinely good. Enabled with good lighting, fans, and large AC plants. Classrooms in AB (Academic Blocks) have good cushioned seats also. Projectors are enabled in classes, but rarely any teacher uses them. The hostels of 1st years are like storerooms—very small in size, very dirty, and 5 students in a 2BHK flat-type hostel. Tip: Take PG inside Shahbad village.
Faculty: Most faculty are like typical engineering college professors—very well-qualified but don't know how to teach or how to handle students. Tip: Don't hurt the ego of your professors. The course curriculum is not up to date. It doesn't make students industry-ready. Exams are not that difficult, but some professors do hard checking.
Other: I chose this college because I am not getting anything else. Fests are amazing.

My opinion about my college.
Placements: The placement this year till now is going great, as I have heard from some seniors. The average package overall for all branches is between 8 and 10 LPA, which is great at the initial stage of your career, and some students are grabbing more than 20 LPA packages in the placement.
Infrastructure: All the necessary facilities are provided at the hostels, as told to me by my friends who live in hotels. The quality of food is good, and there is a buffet system for the food so you can eat up to your limit. The medical center is also there in the college for all the students.
Faculty: The course curriculum is relevant as it covers all the necessary chapters and practicals that are required for being a great engineer. The pass percentage of the college is good, as mostly 80%+ students get passed every semester, and teachers are very helpful.
Other: The engifest is one of the biggest fest in India and takes place on DTU. Major artists perform during the fest and it lasts up to three days, and more than 2 Lacs students across Delhi come to DTU to attend it.

My view on my college DTU.
Placements: This year, placements have not been that great due to the recession, but every year nearly 70-80% of students are placed from Delhi Technological University with an average package of at least 8 Lacs per annum, which is decent for a student at the age of 23.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is really very high level as you can see laboratories related to every field in the college. Also, there are facilities for sports and for every sport there is a stadium, court both synthetic and cemented. There is an auditorium for large gatherings.
Faculty: The faculty is highly educated as they are Ph.D. graduates from reputed institutes of the country. The curriculum is set with a view to the students. Exams are taken 2 times every semester, that is mid-semester and end-semester. Mid-semester is usually 1.5-2 months after the semester starts and end-semester is usually 4-5 months after the semester starts.
Other: I chose this course as it is a reputed government college and fees are much less than other private colleges where there is less exposure. Engi Fest is one of the largest events organized in the country in any college.

Is it worthy to take PIE in DTU rather than civil in NSUT!
Placements: About 50–60% of the students got placed in PIE. The highest package is 60 LPA, the lowest is 6 LPA and the average is 11 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Amazon, Microsoft, etc. About 70% of students got internships in PIE in teaching companies and in new startups. Frankly, I would say if you want a hill schedule, then go for this because it is a very easy course in which you can score CGP easily.
Infrastructure: The facilities of PIE at DTU are very good; there is no attendance criteria, and we get full marks in internals. In the first year, hostels were not that good but in the second year, we got a good hostel with 2 or 3 seats. We have 8 hostels for boys and 3 for girls. All hostels have their own separate mess. We also have a sports area that has all types of gaming courts. And it also has indoor games in all hostels.
Faculty: The teachers at DTU are very helpful and qualified. They are postgraduates from IITs. They teach us practical knowledge to prepare us for industry. It is very easy to pass the semester because we got full marks in internals. About 90% of students pass PIE.

You have taken admission in "Production & Industrial Engineering". Even though this branch may be sponsored by dept of mechanical engineering, you are bound to get degree in PIE only.
