IIIT Delhi Highlights 2025
The Indraprastha Institute of Information Delhi also known as IIIT Delhi or IIIT D is a state level institute founded in 2008. The main campus is located at Okhla and has been approved by the UGC. IIIT Delhi is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and accredited by the NAAC with Grade 'A'. The institute is funded by the Government of Delhi. It has set up an R&D lab in collaboration with IRISYS Corporation Limited, South Korea. The IIIT Delhi was ranked 63 under the 'Engineering' category of the NIRF Rankings 2025.
Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology IIIT Delhi has signed an MoU with UNIST, for a period of five years to promote academic cooperation between both the two institutes. Admission to the IIIT Delhi PhD programmes is merit and entrance-based. Shortlisted candidates have to go through an interview round for final selection. The accepted entrance exams are GATE/ UGC NET/CSIR NET. Based on the candidates' scores in the accepted exam, the candidates are shortlisted. No, you can't take admission in M.Tech at IIIT Delhi without appearing for the GATE exam. The institute offers this two-year full-time programme at the postgraduate level.
