It is a great college for CS enthusiasts.
Placements: In computer science and social sciences, we are taught everything in computer science, i.e., all CSE courses are taught. In addition to that, we are taught some inter-disciplinary courses which are very good. Our institute gives you all the facilities in this programme, and you are not discriminated against by the college. You will get equal opportunities. Almost every company visiting IIITD allows students from all branches to attend their placement round. So it depends on you how much you use these opportunities. From CSSS, around 96% of students were placed in the recent placement drives, which is quite a good number. The average salary package offered is around 16 LPA, and it is increasing very exponentially every year. The top companies which visit here for placements are Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Deloitte and many more. The same companies mentioned above visit here for internships also.
Infrastructure: In terms of facilities and infrastructure, you can compare IIITD with IIT Delhi and other top IITs. This institute provides world-class facilities and infrastructure. The labs are equipped with modern computers, and all facilities are available. The hostel is also well maintained. The quality of food served in the mess is average. There is a swimming pool and gym on the campus.
Faculty: The workload at IIITD is very exceptional. You will not get much free time to explore other things. The course curriculum is updated regularly at IIITD, and it helps you a lot in your career. There is a plagiarism policy due to which you can't cheat at all while doing assignments and projects. If you work hard, this college will provide you a lot.
Other: Many events are organised in IIITD. One event is Odyssey, which is the cultural fest of IIITD, where you will have the most memorable days. This college also provides you with a fee waiver scheme. If you are eligible, then you get some discount on your fees which depends on your annual income.

Academic pressure is more.
Placements: In this current year, due to pandemic, our college provided fewer placements and internships. Around 80% of the students got placed. Top companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, etc., visit our college for placements. The top role offered is SDE.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is great, and labs are very good for research with every equipment, especially in the research department. There is a separate block for R&D. Classrooms, seminar halls, canteen and computer labs are awesome with equipped facilities like computers, etc.
Faculty: Since our course is new in this college, faculty members are also new. They are highly managed and specialised in their field. All professors are PhD holders from out of India with good years of experience in their respective fields. TFs and TAs are very supportive and intelligent with good experience, which makes them a good teacher and even a good friend.
Other: I opted for this course because it is good with a combination of CS and social science, which makes it more unique than any other courses. Students get to learn about both CS and SS in their 4 years. The only improvement that should be made here is reducing the workload as it is more, which makes college life bad. Events are good and conducted twice a year.
