- The KCET 2026 exam has concluded for admission to the BE/BTech course, with the results to be out soon.
- The CUET UG 2026 registration portal is now closed for admission to several UG courses. The CUET exam 2026 will be conducted from May 11 to May 31, 2026.
- The CAT 2026 registration is expected to start in the Aug, 2026 for admission to the MBA course.
- The Karnataka PGCET 2026 application portal is now closed for admission to the MBA, MCA and ME/MTech programmes. The exam for the MCA and MBA courses will be held on May 24, 2026, and for the ME/MTech course, on May 23, 2026.
- Certificate/Advanced certificate, PG Certificate (Executive), and Executive PG programmes admissions 2026 are open.
- The GATE COAP 2026 seat allotment results for round 1 have been released for admission to ME/MTech/PhD programmes. Candidates can choose to accept & freeze, retain & wait, or reject & wait by May 13, 2026 (till 9 AM).

According to the official report, IIIT Bangalore placements have been good for iMTech ECE course in recent past. The highest and average package recorded in 2025 was 89.12 LPA and 38 LPA. The median package was 39.71 LPA.

When I was looking into IIIT Bangalore, I specifically checked if they had any fee waiver for PwD students, but unfortunately, they don't offer any dedicated scholarship or tuition waiver specifically for PwD category in the B.Tech or Integrated M.Tech programs.
They do have some merit-based scholarships, like for students with top JEE Main ranks or for those who maintain a high CGPA once they're in the program. There's also a scholarship for top-performing girls, but nothing focused on helping PwD students financially from the institute's side.
So if you're from the PwD category and hoping for a fee waiver like in NITs or IITs, IIIT-B might disappoint you on that front. You'd probably have to look into external scholarships or government schemes to manage the finances.

For admission to a BTech/BTech+MTech course of IIIT Bangalore, the aspirants must fulfil the course-specific eligibility requirements. No, it is mandatory for aspirants to have a valid JEE Main score for admission to IIIT Bangalore BTech programme. Once the JEE Main results are out, candidates are allocated seat in the institute based on their rank. However, mere qualifying JEE Main won't guarantee admission. Candidates must also fulfil the eligibility requirements.
