Jamia Millia Islamia offers three-year BA and BA (Hons) programmes at the UG level. The BA (Hons) programme is available across 18 specialisations. Admission to Jamia Millia Islamia for BA and BA (Hons) is subject to either CUET (conducted by NTA) or JMI Entrance Exam. Till 2021, admission was subject to the JMI entrance exam across all specialisations. However, starting 2022, admission to a few BA (Hons) specialisations was CUET-based and for the rest, it is university-level entrance-based.

The full form of CUET is Central University Entrance Test which is an all-India level entrance exam conducted by NTA for admission to undergraduate courses offered in various participating colleges. After the students receive their CUET scores, the university will start calling students for counselling rounds, and then other admission and selection-related processes will take place.
