Candidates seeking admission to Jamia Millia Islamia for BA must have passed Class 12 or SSC with a minimum aggregate ranging from 40-50%. The passing percentage is different for different specialisations offered in the BA programme. Admission to Jamia Millia Islamia for BA and BA (Hons) is subject to either CUET (conducted by NTA) or JMI entrance exam. Till 2021, admission was subject to the JMI entrance exam across all specialisations. However, starting 2022, admission to a few BA (Hons) specialisations is CUET-based and for the rest, it is university-level entrance-based. For all the remaining specialisations (other than the aforementioned ones, the university will conduct its own entrance exam, namely JMI Entrance Exam for final admission. The eligibility criteria are different for B.A. (Hons) and Diploma programmes. For most of the courses, the criteria is to have not less than 50% marks in aggregate in the best of 5-papers in the 12th standard Senior Secondary School Certificate or equivalent examination. However, for certain courses the bar of minimum marks in 12th standard or equivalent is 45%. Candidates should apply only after ensuring the eligibility criteria for their selected course. Yes, Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2026 registration commenced at cuet.nta.nic.in. NTA released the CUET 2026 notification on January 03 and reopened the window on February 23. Soon after the release of the CUET official notification, the CUET registration 2026 process commenced online at the official website. Candidates willing to appear for the CUET 2026 exam must have completed complete the application form online. Additionally, before filling application form, candidates must make sure that they have fulfilled the prescribed CUET eligibility criteria to qualify for the entrance exam.
