Jamia Millia Islamia BSc Eligibility & Highlights 2025
JMI BSc and BSc (H) courses are available in different specialisations. The duration of these courses is three years. Jamia Milia Islamia BSc admission is done based on scores in the JMI entrance exam. For BSc in Biotechnology and a BSc (Hons) in Physics, admission is done based on a valid score in the CUET exam. The final selection depends upon the performance in the previous qualifying degree exams, entrance test and seat availability.
Till 2021, admission was subject to the JMI entrance exam across all specialisations. However, starting from 2022, admission to BSc in Biotechnology and BSc (Hons) in Physics was CUET-based.

No, Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2027 registrations have not commenced yet. The registration window will be active at cuet.nta.nic.in. NTA will release the CUET 2027 notification in first week of January. Jamia conducts JMI Entrance Exam for admission to most of its undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Each year the bar is raised and the exam along with the competition only becomes tougher. Candidates seeking admission to a BSc course of Jamia Milia Islamia can apply with a CUET score. The exam application form can be accessed from the NTA official website. The admission process for students applying to CUET-based courses is mentioned below:
Step 1: Visit the website for registration and admission for the CUET-based courses at NTA website and appear for the exam.
Step 2: Fill online admission form for JMI and enter the CUET application number.
Step 3: The rank list will be published based on the final rank of CUET, strictly as per merit and JMI admission policy.
JMI offers BSc and BSc (Hons) programmes of three-year duration at the UG level. The admission process for these programmes is conducted through an entrance test, conducted by Jamia Millia Islamia or CUET.

The admission process for BSc or BSc(Hons) course is conducted through the Jamia Millia Islamia entrance test, conducted by the college itself.Till 2021, admission was subject to the JMI entrance exam across all specialisations. However, starting from 2022, admission to BSc in Biotechnology and BSc (Hons) in Physics will be CUET-based.
National Testing Agency (NTA) does not release the CUET UG cutoff. Once the CUET results are declared, the socres are shared with the participating universities and role of NTA ends with the declaration of results. CUET UG 2025 cutoff has been released by the CUET participtaing universities seperatley. Candidates will be able to check the course wise and category wise cutoff. CUET UG cutoff 2026 has been released by accepting universities after declaration of CUET UG results.
Selected candidates are advised to complete their admission formalities when the schedule is released. Students are required to bring their Admit Card issued for the Entrance Test and attested copies of the following documents, along with the originals, at the time of admission.

- Two recent passport size photographs
- Proof of passing the qualifying examination along with the marksheets
- Proof of Permanent Address with the name of the nearest police station and district
- Certificate from a doctor or hospital certifying blood group
- Proof of Age
- Character Certificate from the institution last attended
- Category certificate (If applicable)
- Certificate/Affidavit from gazetted officer (in case of gap period)
- Result of qualifying examination

If you belong to the General, PWD, AI category, then according to the JMI CUET cutoff 2025, a score of 112 would not give you a seat for the B.Sc Biotechnology course.
