Jamia Millia Islamia offers a two-year MA programme to the stduents across more than 30 specialisations. It is a two-year programme spread over four semesters, admission to which is based on a candidate’s performance in JMI Entrance Exam. The final merit list for admission to MA at JMI is prepared on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the entrance test, seat reservation and relaxation criteria of JMI. The application fee for MA range from INR 550 - INR 700 for different courses and interested candidates can apply online on the official website of Jamia Millia Islamia.
Aspiring students are required to register on the official website of JMI and fill the application form online. In the form, fill all the details asked, upload the required documents and pay the application fee. Starting 2022, for BA, BSc and BVoc, JMI started accepting the scores of CUET UG. For the same, students need to register for the exam, appear for it and qualify it. Qualified students of CUET UG are required to register for JMI counselling after which merit lists will be released with the name of the shortlisted students. For the remaining courses, however, the university is still accepting national and university-level entrance exam for final selection.
Jamia Millia's Admission process for 2023 is conducted in online mode only. Candidates willing to seek admission need to visit the official website of the university to fill out the application form, attach documents and pay the application fee. While submitting the application, candidates are required to make a payment of the application fee via credit card/ debit card/ net banking. The application fee once received successfully at JMI's end is non-refundable and no correspondence on this subject is entertained
The mode of Jamia Millia Islamia course admissions is online. Admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses is based on merit and scores of entrance tests. At the undergraduate level, the university offers four-year BTech, three-year BCom, BBA, and other courses to students. At the postgraduate level, the university provides a two-year MBA, MCA, and various other courses to students. Candidates have to first create an account by filling their basic details and then fill the detailed application form, select their course, upload required documents and pay the application fee. The registration window usually remains open for a month.
Jamia Millia Islamia releases cut off for different categories, including General, Other Backward Caste, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe. The JMI entrance exam cut off for SC and ST category students is usually lower than cut off for General category.
JMI Entrance Exam is a pen and paper-based test which is designed to assess a candidate's analytical aptitude, logical reasoning skills, English comprehension and general awareness.
