Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For General category under All India, opening rank was 7216 and closing rank was 7216. Candidates seeking admission to Jamia Millia Islamia for BA must have passed Class 12 or SSC with a minimum aggregate ranging from 40-50%. The passing percentage is different for different specialisations offered in the BA programme. Admission to Jamia Millia Islamia for BA and BA (Hons) is subject to either CUET (conducted by NTA) or JMI entrance exam. Till 2021, admission was subject to the JMI entrance exam across all specialisations. However, starting 2022, admission to a few BA (Hons) specialisations is CUET-based and for the rest, it is university-level entrance-based. Yes, JMI offers both BSc and BSc (Hons) programmes across four and five specialisations, respectively. The admission process for both these programmes is conducted through JMI entrance test and the final selection of candidates is based on their performance in previous qualifying degree exams, performance in the entrance test and seat availability. But before everything else, students must meet the minimum eligibility requirements set by the university which is passing Class 12 with at least 50% aggregate with a relevant combination of subjects, such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and/ or Biology, among others.
