 The course is of a two-year duration. It can be completed in three to four years at maximum.

Kashmir University BTech admission take place through the merit secured in JEE Main exams. Candidates with a valid JEE Main score can apply for admission into the programme. Once the results of the exams are announced candidates are provided with provisional admission on application. Admission is only finalised when the candidate has done the document verification and some amount of the tuition fee is paid.

B.E. / B.Tech	Candidate must have passed 10+2 from Jammu & Kashmir Board of school Education or from any other recognised board with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.

To be eligible for admission to M.Sc. courses at University of Kashmir, South Campus, candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in a relevant topic from an accredited university with at least 50% of the possible points in order to be considered for admission to the University of Kashmir, South Campus's M.Sc. programs. However, this may differ for specific specialisations or reserved categories. 

For PG admissions, GPAT, GATE, CMAT scores are considered for admissions. Additionally, admission to various UG courses is merit-based. For BTech admissions, JEE Main and JKCET scores are considered for shortlisting the students.

The average placement that students of MBA get from the University is around INR 3-4 LPA. While you might get mixed reviews on the same, the university provides less assistance in finding job opportunities, so most students do it off-campus. But, the university claims for a quality education that can provide one with the right skill sets to find themselves in good positions at reputed institutes.

The BTech Course at Kashmir University costs INR 1.8 lakh irrespective of the specialisation and the affiliated college chosen. The fee is to be paid over a four-year term. Candidates taking admission into the BTech programme at the university should check the specialisation they are choosing and the affiliated college so they can make an informed decision about any additional costs incured during admission.

If a candidate has a minimum aggregate of 45% in Class 12 and have a valid JEE Main score then they are eligible for admission in the Kashmir University BTech programme. Candidates are selected on the basis of the merit secured in their JEE Main or JKCET entrance exam. Kashmir University provides BTech admission in its main campus as well as through multiple affiliated colleges. Therefore, candidates have multiple options if they want to apply for BTech admission at the university.

 Admission into the BTech programme at Kashmir University is through the JEE Main exam which is one of thr the toughest entrance exams for engineering in the country, but the competition to get into Kashmir University is not as high as other technical universities of the country. In addition to that Kashmir University has multiple affiliated colleges that provide admission in the BTech programme. Therefore, candidates taking admission into the university or any affiliated college will not face any problem if they have a valid JEE Main score.

Yes, candidates can take admission in Kashmir University BTech programme without applying for JEE Main. To take admission into the programme, they would have to give the other entrance exam JKCET. Admission into the programme take place through both the JEE Main and JKCET entrance exam and candidates can appear for both the exams to get a valid score and secure admission into the programme.

The JKCET application form will be made available by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) on June 5. Registration for JKCET 2024 will be open till June 19. Only on the official website is it possible to complete and submit the application online. The examination's date has not yet been formally published. The date of the JKCET 2024 exam will be revealed separately and later. The state-level entry exam known as the Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test (JKCET) is administered by pen and paper. The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) administers the test in order to fill UG engineering seats that are available in a variety of J&K government and private institutions.
