NIT Hamirpur College Review

Placements: Placements in the Mathematics and Computing Department are decently good. This year, while placements are still ongoing, the highest package so far is 28 LPA, the median package is 12.2 LPA, the average package is 14 LPA, and the minimum package is 7 LPA. These records may change as placements progress.

Infrastructure: Hostels at NIT Hamirpur cover all the basic facilities, including WiFi. The department building is well-furnished, the teachers are good, and the overall campus has an aesthetic feel. Hostel facilities also include a gym, reading room, and volleyball court. However, students have to stay in 3-seater or 4-seater rooms.

Faculty: All of my faculty members are supportive, kind, and very good at what they do. The curriculum is designed with field requirements in mind, though some topics feel less relevant. Overall, the syllabus is well-structured. Each subject includes one mid-semester and one end-semester exam.

Review of NIT Hamirpur, Himachal.

Placements: My course is a B.Tech. in mathematics and computing. This is a course about machine learning, AI, blockchain, and data science. You will get a 60% math and 40% computer syllabus. The top recruiting companies are Oracle, etc. The highest package is 36 LPA and the lowest package is 6.5 LPA.

Infrastructure: Every year, you will get a different hostel. There are many facilities you will get here, like a college ambulance, and there is a health center in the college. A college canteen, many cafeterias, and daily needs shops are available in the college, which are open until 9 p.m. There is also a Wi-Fi.

Faculty: The faculty is average. There is more practical knowledge than there is theoretical knowledge. You have to give exams twice per semester: midterm and endterm. Exams are moderately difficult. All of your course syllabus is related to your job interviews.

Other: There is a cultural fest called Hillfair and a technical fest called Nimbus organized every year in NIT Hamirpur.

Impressive Crowd and competitive environment. Great placements in 2023. 23 GSOC selection.

Placements: Placement is excellent for CS/MNC/ECE branches. For core branches, It was not that good. So you may consider NIT Hamirpur if you are getting Teach Branches. Avg package for CS branch is around 16-18 LPA. And for ECE 12lpa. For mechanical 8-10lpa, For civil/material 6-7lpa. And Finding internships is quite easy. Just make some connections with your seniors and they will refer you. The highest package for CSE student is 1CR+.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in almost every part of campus. Classrooms are fully equipped with Wi-Fi and smart boards. And Canteen and mess facilities are impressive. Food is available at an affordable rate. Medical facilities are good and under 10minutes ambulance is available. And college hospital has enough doctors and nurses. Library is not 24 hour open. It is open only till 12: 00 night. This is bad thing found.

Faculty: Faculty and curriculum is good but if you are trying to prepare for Competitive exams then, You should have to study on your own or from other sources. Semester exams are not much difficult if you are attending classes then you find it easy. Teachers are supportive and always ready to guide you.

Other: As I am in Mathematics and computing branch, I like cource curriculum. Good crowd and competitive environment is there. Fests and extra curricular activities are Good. So for overall development NIT Hamirpur is great place.

Our college is located between mountains, with a beautiful view, complete silence, and less summer.

Placements: Companies like Asus, Data Science, Intel, Amazon, Flipkart, and many others are coming to recruit students.

Infrastructure: We have all the facilities. The Wi-Fi quality is good, and the LAN is also in working condition. We get average food in the mess, and we get snacks on time. There are water problems. There is snowfall and the temperature is average. Greenery is there. There are health facilities. Various sports facilities are here.

Faculty: Teachers are quite helpful and good at their work. We learn many new things here, and we have various new opportunities for learning. They teach many new things, and regular exams are there on the basis of which we get evaluated.

Other: Our course is based on mathematics and scientific computing, where we learn about computers and mathematics. Our branch is new to the college. It is a very bright branch. Seniors are helpful.

It is a decent college with good placements.

Placements: The mathematics and computing branch was introduced this year only, so none of the batches was passed out. From the computer science branch, this year, around 95% of the students were placed. The highest salary package offered in on-campus placements was 35 LPA, and in off-campus placements, it was 44 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 3.5 LPA, and the average salary package offered was around 10 LPA. Companies like Jugnoo, SAP, JP Morgan, Accenture, HSBC, UHG, etc., visit our college for placements. Due to the location of our college, placements are not much good. Many students apply for off-campus jobs. Placements for other branches are not much good.

Infrastructure: Our college is known for its beautiful and vast 320-acre campus. Facilities like Wi-Fi, labs and library are good. Good sports facilities are available, but the mess is average. Overall, in terms of facilities and infrastructure, our college is the best. It is ranked as 2nd best engineering college in terms of infrastructure.

Faculty: Faculty members are good in our college. They are really helpful, and the course curriculum was well structured and relevant to the current trends. The course curriculum is updated to meet current demands. Teachers are knowledgeable. All the facilities like labs and other equipment are available, which make teaching easier.
