A decent college with good environment.

Placements: In electrical engineering department at my college, the placement rate is around 95 percent. There is a decent package of placements of around 22 Lacs and the highest package is I guess 55-60 Lacs. Well, the rates are gradually increasing, the level of education and placement is increasing day by day.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is quite decent. The hostels are not up to mark, water shortage, no Wi-Fi, etc., but the classes, lecture halls, laboratories and library are good, and atmosphere is very nice. Overall, it's a nice place with lovely climate and greenery.

Faculty: The curriculum is good. Everything we need in our course is already upto mark, and also exposure to practical skills for internships and all is there. Teaching quality is good but for exams, you'll have to study on your own if you want to score good marks.

Perhaps the best college you can get at this rank.

Placements: The number of students getting placed in electrical department is usually 90 percent plus. However, the average package remains quite low, considering it is a circuital branch. Internship opportunities are decent. Many students secure research internships in nearby IITs, usually IIT Mandi, and some make it to DRDO or ISRO.

Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are decent, with some issues. The food is generally good with some exceptions. Major issues can be shortage of water during rainy season which causes a lot of problems. The issue is that there are mostly 4 seater rooms till third and single seater rooms available only for fourth-year students. The lab facilities are good, and there are more than enough opportunities for those who try to get them.

Faculty: Faculty members here are more than qualified however, there seems to be an issue in communication with students, which creates a lack of interest. Some younger faculty members are also quite helpful.

Other: Well, I decided to choose this branch because it is a circuital branch and allows me to choose either tech or core field, thus keeping both my options open.

Beautiful engineering college.

Placements: 83% of electrical branch students get decent placement. Talking about the highest package, it is around 30 LPA, which is quite good. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Google, and many more. Around 10 to 20 students get an internship at a decent value at Google.

Infrastructure: Beautiful and green campus location, and there is Wi-Fi all over the campus, you will stay connected near the department building, hostel, and library. Talking about the library, it is quite good, I'll say, and provides every facility that is necessary. Hostel food is, I'll say, average, not too good, and there are medical facilities 24/7 and a health centre within the campus.

Faculty: Some teachers are helpful, while some are just teachers teaching for their salary, but they are highly qualified and have vast knowledge and many years of experience. Course is relevant, but not for the first year, which is the same for all branches. Semester exams are easy, and passing criteria are 40%.

Good off-campus placement, decent overall.

Placements: High percentage of placement with a decent median package 8.5 LPA (median not average), highest package is a bit low as compared to other NITs at similar ranks, that is 30 LPA for electrical engineering, but for tech branches it's higher, and off-campus placements are very good (hill location limits on-campus company placements). Internship is generally offered from 3rd year, but you can get some even as early as 1st year online. Many PSUs and companies like Wipro and TCS hire students.

Infrastructure: Department infrastructure is great, but hostel infrastructure depends on blocks. Some blocks of hostel have good quality services, but others don't have proper cleaning, and some are even broken. There is a library, Wi-Fi is also available, however, it is pretty slow in some areas. Labs are good, and so are the classrooms (1st year lecture hall is a bit bad as it doesn't have AC, but later it gets good). Food in Kailash Boys Hostel (1st year hostel) is good except dinner (Only sweets are good in dinner). Health centre is near the academic area. Sports and games are available in both hostel and the SAC.

Faculty: Professors are knowledgeable but very rude (a few exceptions). Teaching quality is decent, as most professors teach from PDFs. The curriculum is also somewhat relevant, as core placements are decent. Semester exam toughness depends on the professor and the days of study. Mid sem occurs quite early and carries 30% marks. Some students do give supplementary exams, but rarely any back cases.

Other: Electrical is a core branch that also opens the door for GATE and tech jobs. Great view, very beautiful campus. Events have been a bit off over the past few years. Connectivity is also pretty bad. Activities are great.

NIT, Hamirpur college shiksha review by Abhivadan Chandel.

Placements: College placement facilities are very good because they do not admit multiple students to this course. There are 300 students taking admission, and 50 to 60% students are getting placement in high industry companies and a salary package of 4 LPA to 15 LPA.

Infrastructure: This college has the best infrastructure facilities available and uses high-quality products, and many things are the same as those in multiple colleges. In this college, canteen food is also good and hygienic. This college has available facilities like a classroom, a bathroom, labs, Wi-Fi, a lift, a campus, an auditorium, etc.

Faculty: This college faculty is very strict, but good behaviour for a student, and this course has a total of 8 teachers allocated for the theory and practical lectures. This course is not difficult to pass because there is a 40% required for passing the exam, and internal exams are not included in the semester exam marks.

The college campus is really beautiful.

Placements: Almost all students were placed in our course during my academic session. The highest package offered in our course is 32 LPA. The average package is around 10-12 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Havells, V Guard, LG, Samsung, etc. Around 80% of students get internship offers.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available for our course are extremely good. A large library is present on the college campus with proper study arrangements. The quality of facilities available in the hostel is also very good. The campus is very beautiful.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable in their respective domains of study. Most professors are alumni of IITs. The teaching quality of our faculty members is great. The course curriculum is relevant. Semester examinations are not easy.

NIT Hamirpur is the best college.

Placements: There are about 70% of students placed in my college. The highest package is about 25 LPA, and the lowest salary is about 6 LPA. Top recruiters are L&T, Zerodha, etc. About 80% of students got internships in my college where we study about electricity component.

Infrastructure: My college provides a good environment for study. It is a reputed college and infrastructure is also very good. Wi-Fi is available almost everywhere and buildings are also new. Classes are good and now talked about hostel, we have above average hostels and mess food.

Faculty: Faculty members are very supportive. They support us mentally and socially. They are very knowledgeable and highly qualified. They provide us with resources for study. Curriculum is also relevant which makes us a good engineer. Semester exams are also easy, we can make it.

The college has good placements, faculty members, and a beautiful campus with strong infrastructure.

Placements: The placements were just fine this time, with an average of 7.84 LPA and the highest 18 LPA for electrical engineering. Around 885 out of 989 students got placed over the entire batch. The top recruiting companies, including Samsung, Oracle, IBM, Bloomberg, Infosys, Wipro, Maruti, Afcons, Reliance, JP Morgan, and many more, visited the campus. Top roles, including SDE, GET, and business analyst, were offered.

Infrastructure: It has one of the most beautiful and scenic campuses among the many NITs, surrounded by greenery. Infrastructure is well maintained. Hostel facilities are good, with access to Wi-Fi across the campus and air-conditioned labs and halls. The mess food is just fine here. The mess food might bring some trouble to the south indians.

Faculty: Teachers are really helpful and possess a lot of knowledge in their respective subjects. Sometimes they can bring average performance to rush out everything and buzz out the subject till the end of the semester, ending up ruining the subject's flavour. Practical knowledge is being delivered in some aspects, while in others, it's straight-up theory. Semester exams can be stressful depending upon the toughness level presented by the faculty and according to various pass percentages.

Other: I chose this course due to my rank in JEE Main, and I had no specific interest in the course or the college itself. We have various technical and cultural societies inside the college. We have grand fests like Hillfair, which is cultural, and Nimbus, which is technical. There are a lot of restrictions for the girls here, from in-time to no outings in the initial stages of the academic year. A fun college life.

I doubt you will be able to get admission into the branch you desire as your rank is very high. Unless you have an additional quota (Physical Disability) you will not be able to get the seat.
